Inspiring and Hilarious!

This is one of my favorite books! I’ve listened to it multiple times - whenever I need a pick me up. Tara is real and relatable and funny AF. I can’t recommend this book enough!

Vitally Important / Hilarious

Ms. West offers a counterculture that we should all embrace - the crazy notion that women - even fat women - are valuable, worthy human beings. Her ideas are unapologetically full of truth, and she is a modern roll model for women. Oh, and she’s freaking hilarious. Seriously, laugh out loud stuff. I would recommend this book to any woman!

Funny, Informative, and Inspiring!

To be fair, I’m obsessed with Scandinavian culture, but I REALLY enjoyed this book! The information was interesting, and it left me inspired to infuse more Danish ideas into my own American life. The writing is superbly funny, and the narrator’s delivery is excellent. This was an absolute treat to listen to!

I love the concept of this book - choosing quality over quantity and embracing small luxuries. However, the ideas presented are really only applicable for women who do not have families. I think this would be a great guidebook for young, single, financially secure women who can devote most of their attention to themselves, but for a busy mom with a lot of responsibilities, many of her suggestions were laughably unrealistic. Maybe I’m just bitter that I can’t spend all my time, money, and energy on myself, but I don’t feel like the ideas in this book are doable for or relevant to most women.

Worst Narrator!

The book itself was somewhat charming - though laughably absurd in a few parts - but the narrator sounds like a computer generated voice. Horrible! I considered buying another of Ms. Scott’s books, but the narrator is the same and I just can’t take any more of the Siri-ish narration.
