Quick cozy mystery perfect for an end of the year read to get me to my reading goal.

The story follows the local vet, Ginny who stumbled upon her decease friend. Chaos unfolds as her demise is not what it seems + add in the extra layer of new sheriff in town being Ginny’s high school sweetheart, Joe.

I love all the twists, the red herrings and I still guessed the unaliver correctly.

Great book, and looking forward to driving into the next one.

I also listened to the audiobook narrated by Jillian Yetter who did a fantastic job!

A unique take on paranormal fantasy

If you’re looking for a paranormal fantasy that Lucifer meets Supernatural then I Am Armageddon is the book for you.

This story follows Wiley on an intense journey from losing her family to finding out she is an angel. This novel is told on multiple povs so you get to see what is happening with the “good guys” and the “bad guys.”

Action packed fantasy

If you are looking for an action packed fantasy this one is for you! There was not a dull moment from the fighting, world building, political intrigue and a whisper of a romantic subplot. Plus Alex Raby did an amazing job with the narration, capturing each character perfectly.

Solid beauty & the beast retelling with a vampire & fae twist.

Drake, a cruel prince, is cursed to a beastly form that of a vampire. Nearly 100 years past when a man stumbles into his castle and unwisely picks a rose for his beloved daughter, Bells (aka Bellamina, aka Mina). When her father is imprisoned Mina takes her father’s place in the castle of the heartless Drake. Yet through the sharing of 🩸a bond forms between them. Mina and Drake struggle with this unfathomable connection, all while navigating long held secret that could change both their fates.

Overall, it was an enjoyable novel. As a beauty and the beast fan I enjoyed the retelling and layered in fae/vampire lore.

My biggest reasons for a 4 instead of a 5 was the pacing. It was very fast paced moving quickly from one scene to the next without a lot of breathing room to process what happened. There were also some anachronisms that kept popping up that felt out of place for a dark gothic kingdom.

This book is wild

I feel like I just stepped a wild rollercoaster ride with so many twists and turns it left my head spinning.

Sarah Baker a 28 year old teacher seems to have the perfect life when she suddenly disappears. However, as we unravel the events of her disappearance we find that everything is not as it seems.

Between the intricate story telling and the fantastic narration I was riveted by this story. I will 💯 be recommending this book.

Captivating

I binged this audiobook in like a day. The performance was excellent and I loved the story. I was hooked from the very beginning and loved all the entwined Filipino mythology as well as the FMCs growth throughout the story.

Another 5 star read! LOVED the little flirtatious hints at Lane and Phil, I ship them so hard. The mystery was solid and though I figured out half of the mystery I was still guessing to the very end of who the culprit was. Looking forward to reading book 3.

A story with all the things I loved

Really enjoyed this easy, fun and spicy read. It had all the things I loved touch her and die trope, force proximity, morally grey love interest. If you like the show Lucifer this book has very similar vibes

Great read if you are looking for an afternoon adventure in a world among dinosaurs. Clever, quick paced novel that kept me engaged and intrigued. I really enjoyed the quirky humor, snappy dialogue and the burgeon sweet romance between the MCs. A very fun read and the audiobook narrator was amazing!
