This book should be mandatory in all high schools, colleges, and government subsidy programs. It should also provoke the medical community to demand changes in the healthcare system.

Historia
After devoting years to working with pro-athletes, Olympians, and Navy Seals, fitness gurus Kelly and Juliet Starrett began thinking about the physical well-being of people who are not elite athletes. What are the fundamental qualities that make a human being durable, and how do we ensure that we continue to feel great as we age? Organized around ten assessments and ten physical practices that anyone can do, Built to Move is designed to improve the way your body functions in daily activities and boost overall quality of life.

Built to Move must begin in Elementary school
Revisado: 09-03-23
If there is one sure solution to lowering medical costs in the United States, movement is it. If America would invest in the teaching of movement beginning in Kindergarten, our health crisis, and perhaps even our obesity and diabetic turmoil, would be significantly reduced. Regardless of your age, this book is invaluable to your overall health.

Historia
Originally published in 1940, this book is a rare phenomenon, a living classic that introduces and elucidates the various levels of reading and how to achieve them - from elementary reading, through systematic skimming and inspectional reading, to speed reading. Audiences will learn when and how to “judge a book by its cover,” and also how to X-ray it, read critically, and extract the author’s message from the text.

It doesn't matter how old your are, GET this book!
Revisado: 09-03-23
I never would have thought that at 50 years old, I would need to know how to read a book. This book should be mandatory to teach in Junior High, High School, and College. It should be introduced to all people multiple times throughout their lives, similar to reading philosophical works like Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, or Aristotle's Meditations, and the Enchiridion of Epictetus. It is a perishable skill and one that is worth its weight in gold.

Too many workplaces are driven by cynicism, paranoia, and self-interest. But the best ones foster trust and cooperation because their leaders build what Sinek calls a "Circle of Safety" that separates the security inside the team from the challenges outside. Sinek illustrates his ideas with fascinating true stories that range from the military to big business, from government to investment banking.

Great book even for obesity
Revisado: 05-28-21
This is such a great book and so practical. If corporations used these theories, it could solve so many problems around the world. As a fitness enthusiast, I recommended this book to all in those in my diet group. The hormones discussed in the book, serotonin, oxytocin, dopamine and etc. play such a vital role in nutrition. The book made me realize that if I could get the group to understand WHY they crave processed foods and the positive chemical reactions that will happen if you simply employ a little discipline, they would stick to their eating plans much better.

Historia
Plenty of experts argue that anyone who wants to develop a skill, play an instrument, or lead their field should start early, focus intensely, and rack up as many hours of deliberate practice as possible. But a closer look at research on the world’s top performers shows that early specialization is the exception, not the rule. David Epstein examined the world’s most successful athletes, artists, musicians, inventors, forecasters and scientists. He discovered that in most fields—especially those that are complex and unpredictable—generalists, not specialists, are primed to excel.

What everyone needs to read
Revisado: 02-01-19
This book must be mandated as required reading in High School and College and should be endorsed by the FDA and a significant part of the ongoing health care/medical insurance debate. I know it would send the food world into a tailspin with monetary losses but it is a small price to pay for our own health as well as future generations. The simplicity and science tells you all you need to know. Readers will realize how foolish they have been looking for the magic potion to get them out of a lifetime of obesity. Best of all, you can verify what Dr. Fung stipulates; I.e. Type 2 Diabetes can take decades for onset; when you lol at the statistics of number of people diagnosed in America with T2 Diabetes between the ages of 49-60, you will be amazed. This is the fad everyone must take up.
