Would you consider the audio edition of The Green Ember to be better than the print version?
No. I liked hearing my Mom read it first but this way my dad could listen to it as many times as he needed to because he always falls asleep during reading time.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mine was Heather because she was very brave and she took care of her brother before herself when they were first attacked by the wolves.
Which scene was your favorite?
Probably at the end when everyone is safe and they're about to go out and look for their mom and dad and little Jack.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! Because every single chapter something big was happening that of course makes you go "Gasp! What's going to happen next?!"

This is a fairy tale about two kings who bluster and stumble into a hilarious non-war, a princess who finds true love in an unexpected place, and a conniving, beautiful Countess whose poetry was stolen by Shelley. The plot is driven by a bent ginger whisker, seven-league boots, two cloaks of darkness, and stiff notes. The characters are three-dimensional; the satire is gentle and wise. There is whimsy in every minute.
