Not a bad start

Definitely a decent read, but some things did bother me. For one, the MC is a real A Hole, and not in the lovable sort of way or funny kind of way. Dudes just cruel. A real bully. It's interesting read a story about a mc who's not a good two shoes but jeez, maybe don't tease a 12 year old from wanting to be like his dead father. Also kinda weird how he sorta manipulated the 12 year old to travel with him and the village is completely fine with a random guy walking out of the woods and wanting to spend so much alone time with this one kid but whatever I guess.

Welp he did it again. At the beginning of this book it dragged a bit to me but then the hook grabbed me like a SpongeBob in that one episode lol. On to the next book!

I get it HE'S TALL

Let me start by saying the performance is really good, narrator has a nice voice and even did the female voices decent. Now for the story, it's about a 16 year old kid who wants to be free in a videogame which somehow runs the real world's economy, but he knows nothing about it for some reason even though his Aunt is one of the games top players. There's zero stakes because the game system just grants him a new op giant race right at the start so he can beat anyone with ease and if things do get hard financial wise, he'll ask his billionaire aunt for money. His personality is "gentle giant" but only sometimes when he isn't suddenly a rage demon. I don't get why he's 16 when he acts like a 40 year old man, he's too level headed and wise for a kid going through puberty imo. Not to mention there's a few moments when he says he studied things a few years ago like martial arts and castles architecture, like when tho? when he was 12? lol. He even brings up a sketch he did when he was younger that everyone goes crazy over because how detailed it is. Also, why is he hungry? I get it, he's big. But he's in a videogame with no survival implementations so he doesn't need to eat. Is it just for comedy? The joke being everyone looking surprised every time he eats 5 roasted board? It got old. His whole personality being "I'm big, like really big" got very old. If you're interested get this one sale or use a credit other than that I wouldn't recommend

Great first book, will definitely continue with this series and recommend it. Though I did find a few moments where the reader stumbled over some words lol

Bland and boring

I really liked the first book but idk I this one I just realized how boring the main character is and how OO he is. Just constantly levels up to the point that levels don't seem to matter at all, which I can forgive if it wasn't for how boring the main character is, like the dude doesn't have a personality at all besides "have to level up. I like archery" anyway I'm banishing this to the DNF shelf

I nearly gave up

The author is a monster. He made me fall in love with these characters and then hurts them over and over again, but dam is it worth it. On to book 4!

Orrin is an idiot

Damn good book, but damn does Orrin get on my nerves with the obtuse paranoia and angst. Sometimes I forget they're kids, but then Orrin will jump in front of the party and instantly break an arm. Still enjoyed the story tho
