I was looking forward to the final book in this series and looking forward to the MC's really solving the issues from the past two books in the series, completing the character arc, and continuing the growth that they had shown. Only for them to be absent for a large portion of the book and then for the MC's to make some absolutely terrible decisions which caused the whole book to fall apart for me. I couldn't finish the book. All of the character growth and the background that went into the MC's over the first two books were just thrown out the window. Big letdown after I enjoyed the first two of the series.

story building!!

It's mid season two and they are still building the story and the best part is the series hasn't slowed down at all. Jason and Nick I feel have found away to build a story that doesn't rush the story to an exciting conclusion or stall the story to where you feel like there are books that don't contribute at all. Love the character development, the setup and the progress. Just another hook set to continue listening and reading.

First book of season two set tons of hooks and guess what there are just more hooks to be set. As always can't wait for the next book.
definitely #team20's. timelines don't line up in my humble opinion.

Not my cup of tea

I started this book and was only able to get a couple of hours in, it just couldn't hook me. The combination of sci-fi and fantasy just didn't mesh well for me. The logistics of the book I couldn't get around to either. Some may like this but it's just not my wheel house.

I...... how to describe this rollercoaster....... this book is amazing per usual. Anspach and Cole are two of my favorite authors. This book is as good as anything from season one and is not a diluted story at all. Still character development from established person's, enough twists and turns to confuse a snake, and to much drama to take in on one take.

Also listen to the whole thing, the round table/podcast episode at the end is totally worth it.

Great characters, conflict, story, pretty much everything you have come to know and expect from these two authors. Throw in RC Bray and you've got an excellent book with a great voice to go with it! -authors note was awesome as well made me a tad sad to think about some of the long lost characters from that series..

This book took a while to get going for me, just like the last Savage Wars book. It was interesting to get a different perspective than just the legionnaire or Tyrus. The very last line of the book brings up a lot of issues for me.
Overall slow start good book.

This is one of my favorite series to read and listen to. RC Bray does an excellent job as narrator and this far into the series I can't hear anyone else doing it.

This book was interesting.... not my favorite in there series. Still a good book but I am just not a fan of abrupt cliff hangers in any book, movie series or tv show. I feel like a climax of a story is coming and then fade to black, the story continues in 2030 come back then to finish this tale.

Of course this is all my opinion. Read it for yourself and you determine what you like.
