Yep the cover drew me in. Love anything with wings. This was an interesting take on vampire lore: they reminded me more of zombies to be honest. It's a wonder that the gods didn't do more to contain the problem while they had the chance. Like you're telling me there's only a handful of the ones fighting the darkness left? And they call themselves the Heart Breakers?

Anywho, if you enjoy Greek Gods Mythology and paranormal romance fluff, then this should scratch that itch. Keyword being fluff -- the end was kinda predictable but I enjoyed the story overall. You don't have to read the first two books either (this was my first introduction to this author). Katie Bloomwood did a fine job narrating. I hope to listen to the next books next. #FreeAudiobookCodes

Never a dull moment!

Now this is what I'm talking about. There's an actual plot to go along with the spicy scenes. Sure, the main character has her share of flaws, but she wasn't annoying about it. The way each new character is introduced felt organic and was a pleasant addition to the team. This is an all-female, why choose reverse harem lead by the heir to the Underworld. Interesting take on mixing different types of supernaturals. I don't think I've come across anything revolving around dear Lucy and other mythical legends. Second Book Syndrome

Started off with kind of a bang, then gets lost in a neurotic hormonal bubble. Luna, you are the teenager you liken yourself to be (you haven't proven otherwise) and how many times do we have to hear "Stop overthinking it"? I'm sad! Because I had high hopes for this one. But there was just so much waiting around at the hotel? I lost interest mid-way through chapter 16. Early on, I was super intrigued to hear from Jackson and was hoping we'd get more of that. The narrators were good on their own. I just found the female narrator's version of Maddox to be quite cringey which I failed to find anything particularly sexy about that. Chapter 31 was also bittersweet. 🥺
and Chapter 32 had me 😭 and 😏 at Chase 😍

This is one of the best dark, bully "romances" I've ever had the priviledge to listen to.

Solid chick-lit with a side of the paranormal

This genre seems to be either hit or miss for me. Perhaps if I haven't been exposed to many vampire "rom-coms" I'd have rated this higher. Nevertheless, I kept waiting for a little less talking and a lot more action... (the plot pacing could have been quicker (writing this at Chapter 17)). I didn't mind the male narrator, since he seemed to put more life into the characters, but the female narrator was a bit monotone (listening to this at x1.2 speed). Hence why I didn't feel too much sympathy for our newly-turned vamp Sarah as I did for the weary 600+ year old master vamp Thierry. Still, I'm glad the h had her bestie on her side, eventually... Kinda dumb of her though to drop a bombshell in such a precarious environment. Not sure if this is going to be a love triangle or a menage...but I think Quinn would be a better fit for her since they both had the *newly turned thing* going on. I see this series has 8.5 books already so maybe this was like a pilot and things will eventually get better? I only wish I was as *smitten* with this freely given audiobook as the other reviewers found it, but this is just my honest opinion.

Deliciously Wicked Games (If You're Into That)

Let's take a moment to appreciate that amazing cover. Rawr! If only there was a sexy male narrator to accompany that tasty morsel of manly goodness. Alas, we only have one, Ms. Holland who did a good job overall. But still, I wanted MORE. Her Virgil wasn't panty-melting swoon-inducing enough for me and that's a damn shame because this novel so would have garnered a much higher rating.

Also, just a tip: ladies, you don't actually know if nothing's out there if you didn't go check for yourself. Our brains like to play tricks on us to protect our sense of safety. Or gloss over some things like our h did. :P So if you're into this type of thing, having a masked stranger do depraved things to you in the middle of the night, take a chance on this!

If I can get obsessed with the male lead, I can overlooking anything, but something just wasn't clicking with me. Not enough world-building? A more believable basis of a relationship between the h + H? I don't know. Perhaps I'm simply biased, comparing this to Merlin's other dark romance, "Playing with Knives" (check out my glowing review for that one!). First Book of the New Year, Sooo Enjoyable!

Omg I loved this! Like whoa, I wish I could have been in Larissa's shoes. I mean, girl had three hot men at her side willing to do everything in their power to get her back in shape, fit, and healthy. Those long marathon sessions in the bedroom certainly didn't hurt either. :P Also, what a tool of an ex-husband. Idiot lol, seriously, the nerve of him to act like what he did was no big deal and that he had any chance of getting her to take him back! Glad he got what he deserved in the end! Our girl didn't need any of that dead weight and good riddance! I also liked the side-story with Cooper and his daughter. The narration team did a great job overall. Anything Michael Gallagher is apart of, I so am here for it! What a thrilling ride into a twisted tale of secrets, truth, manipulation, blackmail, psychological torture, brutality, murder, coverups, revelations, revenge, hostile takeovers, and lots of nsfw oblivion with some blood foreplay. I went into this without any expectations and came out with my mind blown. Definitely worth revisiting.

Pretty enjoyable -- Love me some RH Twins

Even though I didn't get a chance to listen to Book 1, I didn't feel like I missed out on much (like they only knew each other for one week!). Things definitely read as fantasy, I mean four hot, single, rich bachelors who all want this single mom of two? She probably looks like a supermodel as everything that happened was just too good to be true. Anyway, the way things were handled at the end with the ex was priceless! Four Prophesized Mates & their Virginal Princess

Lacy Laurel would not have been my choice of narrator, but I trudged on since the story seemed intriguing. I'm such a sucker (; for reverse harems, especially vampire ones! The premise was not original as I feel like it's been done before, but nevertheless, quick, steamy entertainment for what it is.
