This narration was incredible. it was perfect. Andy Serkis' brought this story to life in ways I didn't know I needed. His rich character voices, energy, use of dynamics, understanding of the material just made for a. phenomenal experience. I can't wait to listen again.

Also, he sounds just like that gollum character from the movies... ;)

Interesting Story, But Very Dense Prose

I had no qualms with the audio production. Great job there.

The story was very good. However, the prose was too dense to translate well to an audiobook. I feel I would have enjoyed this story more had I read it directly from a print/text copy.

I had to re-listen, or go back and re-read my physical copy way more than normal for audiobooks.

The story was definitely good enough that I want to reread it in the future, however!

I love this show! Youtini does a fabulous job creating/continuing a positive fan community. This podcast has been a lot of fun to listen to. With all the new stuff in the works with Star Wars this show has really helped me stay in the loop.

Fun and Enlightening Rios Story

Any story that makes you appreciate the lore and compels you to go back and rewatch existing content is definitely a win!

This story was fun. While it wasn't super high stakes or groundbreaking (the show Picard is already pretty character heavy and this book is a prequel) it fills in interesting details.

I was almost frustrated by not knowing exactly what the plot was or where it was going. Once I learned to relax and just listen and read my experience was far better!

I'm actually excited to read it again sometime (very rare for me) to enjoy some of the details that escaped my notice.

A slow moving, but interesting addition!

This book was interesting and ended very well. as others have said, it was very character driven rather than action/plot. It doesn't rise to the top of my lists of favorites within the High Republic era, but it was a GOOD book.

One major issue I had with this book was the sub-par audiobook production effort in this title. There was little to none (I don't remember any at all) music or sound effects that have become standard of star wars audio titles. The narrator was fine, a few characters came across a bit too awkward, but it's clear she is a talented reader. My lowered performance score mainly reflects on the decision to withhold music and effects.

Another Andy Weir classic!

This book was smart, funny, well-written without being overly dramatic. It was very enjoyable. More like the Martian than Artemis, but different from both.

Great Story, Fantastic production!

I thoroughly, enjoyed this story. it's a huge task to usher in an entire era of storytelling. At times, it's hard to keep up with characters. Otherwise, a beautiful book. Really excited about this series!

Marc Thompson and the production team did an incredible job. This is a new level of audio storytelling! I was blown away by how distinct each character remained despite hearing Marc read several books.

Essential prequel to the force awakens!

Fantastic book. I don't know why I didn't read it sooner. I enjoyed this book more than most. it helps explain the politics of the new republic and the rise of the first order!
