Historia
City-by-city, kingdom-by-kingdom, the Palleseen have sworn to bring Perfection and Correctness to an imperfect world. As their legions scour the world of superstition with the bright flame of reason, so they deliver a mountain of ragged, holed and scorched flesh to the field hospital tents just behind the frontline. Which is where Yasnic, one-time priest, healer and rebel, finds himself. Reprieved from the gallows and sent to war clutching a box of orphan Gods, he has been sequestered to a particularity unorthodox medical unit.

Great plot wonderfully narrated
Revisado: 09-08-24
Super witty and funny writing, albeit somewhat predictable at times (not always though). David Thorpe is imho one of the best narrators, giving many of the characters their own distinct and recognizable personalities.

Repetitive but addictive
Revisado: 07-03-23
On to vol three. Things are somewhat predictive but it’s totally addictive still. Let’s see if the tension stays that way for 10 volumes…

Historia
The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Great Finale of the series!
Revisado: 01-23-23
To me this one felt much less long winded as some of the previous installments. I like the finish a lot and it leaves options for a continuation or an end of the whole saga-either way, great stuff especially when considering the release pace…

Great story but frustrating end
Revisado: 08-21-21
I did like the story and characters. The end was as expected too and would have been a nice cliffhanger leading to the next book in line. But then, the epilogue sort of ruined the overarching storyline… It feels as if the author had enough of telling the story of how humanity defeated the inhibitors/wolves and just wanted to get out of the storyline with a few sentences instead of writing another book about it. I believe that the seeds he planted about the mysterious conch makers could have provided enough material to develop the story further for another book with perhaps a final conclusion to the whole inhibitor/wolves crisis but instead, just a few sentences about it all in the epilogue…
