Narration is aweful!

I cannot pass judgement on the story itself because I could not get through it. I only made it 2 chapters before I had to give up. The narration is so bad that I couldn't take it any more. It is a great disappointment since I enjoyed the previous installments performed by a different narrator who made the text come alive. This narration had poor audio quality and a terrible performance. You have been warned!

Excellent Book!

This is a fabulous book that spans centuries. The characters are interesting and the story moves at a great pace. The narrator has great pronunciation and inflection making it easy for the listener to discern which character is speaking. This is one of those books that you wish didn't end. I highly recommend this book!

Dallas's narration is good, but the content is great. The most coherent study for true discipleship that I've ever heard.
I recommend this and his other works for anyone truly seeking to deeply understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus and steps to take to begin that journey.

If you like Ludlum this is a great one. Hoye does a great job narrating. He doesn't get in the way of the story but enhances it. Definitely a fun book.

Would you listen to Impossible Odds again? Why?
I would definitely listen to Impossible Odds again. This is one of the most compelling stories I have experienced in a long time. The narrators were excellent and kept the suspense building. The author does a great job drawing you in and helping you visualize the story. Terrific book!

What did you like best about this story?
The writer and narrator transport you to another time and place. The story is so well written that you can visualize every detail. The narrator helps the book come alive without getting in the way of the story. It was an exciting book and one that I will likely listen to again.

Any additional comments?
Having read the first two books, I was eagerly awaiting this edition. This book was the least compelling of the series and it appears that detailed prose was more important than a compelling read. Too bad.
