Historia
Dame Elsebet de Whellen has ruled her mildly magical, high-tech country for 50 prosperous years. Now it's facing a crisis three generations in the making, and the bold steps she's taken to save it have gone disastrously off the rails. She needs a hero who can calm her mind, cast a spell, and find a missing sorcerer. Instead she gets Malfred Murd, former royal fool, booted from his job. What starts as Fred's quick attempt to con Dame Elsebet escalates until he—and his self-appointed magpie advisor Corvinalias—are hopelessly entangled in a desperate mission.

Author is a snowflake
Revisado: 09-22-21
Half decent listen, fun pop culture references, and a very interesting main character. However after finishing it and getting through the authors very blatant political references I was left with a moderately positive experience. I then tried the next book, which decided to use the first chapter to complain about reviewers, of his first book. Like dude, you wrote it and all you had to do was understand that if you want to get overtly political, you will inevitably piss off some people. Just own up to it.
