Awful audio quality, great content

This is a great book and I definitely recommend it. The main problem is the recording sounds very amateur and low quality like it was just done in the narrator’s spare bedroom in their home with thin walls or something. It was pretty distracting but still worth listening to.

DNF @ 60%. I’m so surprised. I loved another series by this author and was sure I would really enjoy this too! The main issue I had was the world building/intro part was way too short before the plot/conflict stuff kicked in. I wasn’t invested in the characters at all, was just barely starting to get a glimpse of the magic used in this series then bam! Conflict that doesn’t make sense and that I didn’t really care about because I was lost and not invested yet. I couldn’t keep going though I gave it a solid try.
