Historia
Israel conjures up myriad associations for peoples of all cultures and religious backgrounds. Inextricably associated with the world's three most prominent religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), Israel is steeped in history and conflict, much of which is known through the tales of biblical figures such as Moses, David, Solomon, and, of course, Jesus Christ. But how much of the Bible can be relied upon as accurate history? And how much of the biblical record can be verified through archaeology?

The narrator is absolutely atrocious. If you want to listen to someone swallowing constantly, this is for you. Very distracting and honestly quite annoying. I will be careful not to purchase anything read by this person. Also quite negative in his conclusions.

The brutal virus spread rapidly through a clinical desert, where basic health-care facilities were few and far between. Causing severe loss of life and economic disruption, the Ebola crisis was a major tragedy of modern medicine. But why did it happen, and what can we learn from it?

You have to listen to this book
Revisado: 03-23-21
Paul Farmer has written a terrifying, honestly sobering account of Ebola and the courageous men and women who fight for the lives of its victims. The historical background is essential to the story. This book should be required reading in World History classes.
