Historia
Who knew that dabbling in cryptocurrency could be life-threatening? In a game of cat and mouse, it’s not always obvious who is chasing whom, especially when it involves a mind-reading soccer mom like Shelby Nichols. It’s hard to fool a mind-reader, but that doesn’t mean finding a killer is easy, especially when the killer disappears into thin air. But threatening her family changes everything. Now, nothing will keep Shelby from finding the truth, and it soon becomes apparent that it’s never a good idea to mess with Shelby Nichols.

First Rate Read
Revisado: 02-03-25
I first read these books on Kindle unlimited....I loved them so much I bought the entire series on Audible. The main character, Shelby, is a sweet, young woman and the premise of being able to read minds is very interesting. I sometimes think that Shelby is portrayed as too beautiful, but I like that her personality is so kind and caring. Ramos is a really interesting complement to Shelby's character and I enjoy their byplay. I also appreciate there is a lot of sexual tension without all of the graphic scenes. Most of us know what is implied, I don't need to read someone elses fantasy. Colleen Helme, you are a wonderful writer. I can picture the action and I really care about the characters. The storylines are exciting and I like that there are more than one or two situations for Shelby to deal with in each book. I enjoy your books Colleen and hope you keep writing for a long time. I also like your newest character, Ella, and look forward to her adventures as well as Shelby's. Thank you for sharing your imagination with me. It is very much appreciated.

Loved it
Revisado: 10-31-19
My favorite is still Neanderthal Seeks Human. But, this one is almost as good. Penny Reid, I love your characters. I found myself laughing often as I went through the books. I like the narrator for both characters and I believe that the way Kat's narration was really on target. She made her seem strong and vulnerable at the same time. Dan is such a sweetheart and their story was so romantic. The most important feature of a book that I end up buying, loving and listening to multiple times is the way the characters are made. Imperfect, flawed, kind, strong, humble and loving, are the things that are important to me and Janie and Quinn and Dan and Kat are some stories I will be listening to again and again.

I really wanted to like this book...
Revisado: 08-12-19
Just to be clear, I have listened to this series multiple times the way I would listen to a favorite song or watch a movie, but I am so disappointed with this entry to the series. The Julie character was nothing like the Julie in preceding books. Here she is a whiner and crybaby. The way the reader emphasized her words when stressed sounded like she was regularly in tears. I have nothing against this narrator but I really miss Oliver Wyman's voices. He acts out the story with superior voices, expression and pacing. I really hated what Management turned out to be. Here he sounds like a jerk rather than the previous one in Legion and Siege. There he was more of a comrade in arms. Here he is insulting, arrogant and somewhat hostile. I also didn't like it when Susan cried the blues of how much she loves her family and Julie gets weepy thinking the real Susan must be in there. One minute Julie is compassionate the next she is saying how evil Susan is. The thing that bothered me most was the mispronunciation of words and the name, "Ma-chato". I finished the whole thing but unlike the rest in the series, was relieved when it was over. Larry is a wonderful writer and I suppose Sarah Hoyt is too, but she never should have written a book in the series as integral to the storyline as Guardian should be. It also should never have been read by someone new in the series. Oliver Wyman's acting skills show through each of his performances of the previous books. I missed hearing his voice. I cringed every time a new accent should have been in the reading. She has no skill there. Just really disappointed.

Pretty good
Revisado: 03-18-19
The story went along well. Great character development, interesting and likeable characters, and a plot line that I had a hard time putting down when it was time to go to sleep. The only down side was that there were too many characters that didn't have much backstory and I got easily lost in the sheer number of them, who was who, by the climax of the story. Enjoyed it though and even though it ran 26 + hours, it didn't feel like it. Held my attention throughout.

Boring narrator
Revisado: 01-05-19
The story is well done. The character development was good and I felt that I could see the characters, even like them. I liked the paranormal angle with more of a scientific eye. I'd read more by this author but the narrator was as flat as could be. There was no emotion or character in the telling of the story. It sounded like the reading of the minutes at a board meeting. He's not a bad reader but the lack of any emotion detracted from the storyline.

Too much sex
Revisado: 01-02-19
I like the sex scenes as much as the next person but the intensity and amount in this story was way too much too soon. There was not enough character development nor relationship development to justify it. The story was a good concept and was not boring but the sex became a distraction rather than an enhancement to the story.

Stay with Amanda Ronconi
Revisado: 10-11-18
Story was good and Molly Harper hits another out of the park. The problem I have with this book though is the male narrator. Just have Amanda Ronconi do the voices. It was very distracting listening to the two readers, doing both voices but in different chapters. Amanda is a lot more experienced and does a stellar job with her reading. The guy was just very flat in his reading. There was no emotion in the reading and when the two readers were compared, it seemed like two different stories. Maybe he just needs some more experience but the presentation was boring.

Historia
It began on New Year’s Eve. The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed - and more than half of the world’s population was decimated. Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magick rose up in its place.

Hard to get into
Revisado: 07-24-18
I've read almost every book Nora has ever written. There are many great ones including the In Death Series, some okay but only a few that I just was too bored with to finish. This is one of those. It gets bogged down in post-apocalyptic life and the magical people that survived the plague. It had way too many characters that were not really that interesting. The romance was boring and I know how well Nora does romance. Not her best effort. I won't be reading any more of this series.

Historia
When Monster Hunter International's top hunter, Owen Zastava Pitt, was given a tip about some hunters who had gone missing in action, he didn't realize their rescue mission would snowball into the single biggest operation in MHI's history. Their men are being held prisoner in a horrific nightmare dimension, and the only way to reach them is through the radioactive ruins of a monster-infested war zone. As if that wasn't bad enough, it's also the home base of the powerful creature behind the devastating attacks on the Last Dragon and Copper Lake.

The continuing saga that makes you want more....
Revisado: 08-29-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely I would recommend this book....heck the entire series.
Which character – as performed by Oliver Wyman – was your favorite?
Oliver Wyman is one of those readers who make the story so magnetic that you can't stop listening. My favorite character is Earl but his Franks is pretty good too.
Any additional comments?
Larry Correia writes great stories....but more than that, it is his characters that make it really interesting. They change and grow as the series goes on and you really want to find out how they develop. He makes the heros flawed and the bad guys a little bit..well if not good at least they are fleshed out and you can see them, sometimes understand them. His characters are why I will listen to the books over and over again...like a favorite movie. This latest one is no exception and he throws in enough twists that you really don't know sometimes where he's headed. A great ride...
