Historia
Died for a cause. Johnny’s tombstone would read like something you’d find in a dime novel at a used bookstore. Going out like a snuffed candle, his life ended just as it had really begun. Now he’s been given a second chance to fight his way out of the corner he put himself into. In a world of brawls, dirty fights, and hard-hitting cultivators, he must win. Because if he loses, he’ll lose more than just the fight, and it won’t be his life. He already managed that once, after all.

Hondo Jinx's Best Series Yet
Revisado: 08-05-22
Hondo clocked it out of the ring so well I find myself throwing punches on the peloton when I listen to this swift hitting boxing & romance combo. The characters have personality, the story has depth, and there aren't so many characters that you confuse who is who by the end of the book. (There's a lot of those in this genre). Hondo's writing and prose has also improved by leaps and bounds with this series, I think it might have something to do with his own background in boxing, that energy during the fights and explanations of training cant help but bring you in. And lastly, in case you're worried, this isn't one of those books that has non-stop smut scenes, its got just the right amount, and tastefully done. Listen to it, and throw some punches yourself!

Historia
Danny North is the first Gate Mage to be born on Earth in nearly 2,000 years, or at least the first to survive and claim his power, for families of Westil in exile on Earth have a treaty that requires the death of any suspected Gate Mage. The wars between the families had been terrible until at last they realized it was their own survival in question. But a Gate Mage, one who could build a Great Gate back to Westil, would give his own family a terrible advantage over all the others and reignite the wars. So it was decided that they all had to die.

A weak finish
Revisado: 01-25-19
This was on a different flow than the previous two books. Very slow. It almost feels as if plot movements for two or three books were fit into one. So they got rid of all the action. but I made myself finish it.
