Historia
Judy Goodman and Beverly Caldwell have different reasons for putting continents and oceans between themselves and their disparate pasts, but they have the same desire—to earn a coveted position on an elite team of stewardesses for Pan American Airlines. For Judy, running away from an oppressive marriage in small-town Pennsylvania is a risk she must take. And for Beverly, leaving behind the gilded cage of New York society will allow her to pursue a future of her own making.

Intriguing and heartfelt

This book now ranks among my favorite that I have listened to or read in the last few years . It is an original and creative storyline that provides both education and entertainment. The story of friendship, newly discovered independence, loyalty, and love is heartwarming and just a feel good story in general. Although Judy encounters a dangerous situation at times, the strength and love of those around her is uplifting. I will be purchasing more books by this author immediately! Highly recommended!

Historia
After twenty years in a loveless marriage, Evelyn Henderson will do anything to escape her stifling suburban life. She boards a train for Reno, Nevada, a former frontier town that’s booming thanks to “six-weekers”: women from all walks of life who take up residence there just long enough to secure an uncontested divorce—a right they don’t yet have in their home states.

I really enjoyed this novel; it is not like many of Nicholas Sparks’s other works (which I also enjoy!). He does a wonderful job of integrating a story involving great trials and tribulations but still offers an avenue for hope for Jasper to find peace again. Although the story has parts that are emotional, this work is good reminder of the importance of faith and hope and leaves the reader/listener with a feeling of tranquility at the end.
