I tuned in when Andy read this for charity in a marathon session on YouTube. I was delighted to find that he did a professional recording after that event. This performance was pretty near perfect.

The Longest Day meets Space Opera.

The scope and sweep of the best space opera meets the history book, The Longest Day. Rechs and the 100 men who have been made in to Legionnaires launch an attack to retake a world conquered by the Savages. Cole and Anspach deftly shift the narrative between each part of the battle. Stephen Lang is perfection as the narrator; not only of this book, but the entire Savage Wars trilogy. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

This book is inspiring and hilarious. Yanez is a great choice for the series and I will be checking out his other titles. The characters are well voiced and interesting. Definitely give this a listen.

Lead the charge, Splunk!

Fun story and well thought out universe. It is not only an action adventure but the story of a boy becoming a man. You can't help but like Jim and root for his success. The book shows him having to work, really work, at becoming a leader of men as well as a soldier. Splunk is a great character as well. Get this book, you won't be disappointed.

Stephen Lang brings this origin story of the Legion to life in this fantastic novel. The story itself is good but Lang's performance ramps the enjoyment to 11. Can wait for more in this storyline.

Vast and Dark, with a glimmer of hope.

I loved this trilogy. The world building is thorough and well thought out. It is a little slow to start but picks up quickly. You'll hate the villains and pull for those struggling against them. This is for all three books of the saga so its a good value being over 24hrs long thus providing many hours of entertainment. Whole heartedly recommend this performance.

I thoroughly enjoy the Rex Nihilo series. Clever word play and references with a laugh almost every page. This one's the origin story for Rex and it's the best in the series yet.

Fun and accurate history.

I received a copy from the author inn exchange four an honest review.

This is a rather good bio novel of one of two female pharaohs known to history. The narration isn't perfect but the author more than makes up for it with the excellent story and her attention to detail. I'm a history geek and definitely recommend this book.

not bad but...

I received a copy in exchange for a review. The narrator is good and the story is entertaining but the science is a bit weak and unexplained. The evil corporate dad thing got tiresome and I just wanted him to be eaten or stop talking. Also "the trailer was rocking, so no one came a knocking", really?!?! Are you kidding me???
