Historia
I spent 20 years waiting for Trent Hennington to open his eyes and see me. But it was all for nothing. He chose to keep himself guarded and let me walk away, proving that my time and efforts were wasted. I'm done being invisible. It's time to move on. A single dance sets my new reality into motion, and I welcome it. After all, Cooper Townsend is perfect. He's kind, sexy, and attentive - everything a girl could want.

A disaster of a story
Revisado: 12-01-18
Boring doesn't begin to describe this book. I rolled my eyes so much, I thought they would get stuck in that position. Sabastian York's narration was the only reason I finished it.

Historia
Justin and Libby Denbe have the kind of life you’d find in the pages of a glossy magazine: A beautiful 14-year-old daughter. A gorgeous brownstone on a tree-lined street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. A great marriage, admired by all. A perfect life. When investigator Tessa Leone arrives at the crime scene in the foyer of the Denbes’ home, she finds scuff marks on the floor and a million tiny pieces of bright green Taser confetti. The family appears to have been abducted.

Historia
A masterful, intensely suspenseful novel about a reader whose obsession with a reclusive writer goes far too far - a book about the power of storytelling, starring the same trio of unlikely and winning heroes King introduced in Mr. Mercedes. "Wake up, genius." So begins King's instantly riveting story about a vengeful reader. The genius is John Rothstein, an iconic author who created a famous character, Jimmy Gold, but who hasn't published a book for decades.

nail biting novel
Revisado: 07-07-16
A book I truly couldn't put down. So intense it triggered anxiety attacks. I found myself rooting for Pete and his lovely sister, hoping and praying the wolf got his due. The disruptions brought the characters to life, so much so that I actually dreamed of the villain's red lips. can't wait for book 3 which I'm downloading now.

Jules won't risk her career for mind-blowing sex, no matter how much her body and her damn heart keep arguing with her.

I've officially read the worst book in human history. 50 shades was a masterpiece in comparison and that's saying something. should have titled the book, sex, sex, sex. This book had absolutely no plot, no conflict, nothing!

Historia
History has all but forgotten.... In the spring of 1708, an invading Jacobite fleet of French and Scottish soldiers nearly succeeded in landing the exiled James Stewart in Scotland to reclaim his crown. Now, Carrie McClelland hopes to turn that story into her next best-selling novel. Settling herself in the shadow of Slains Castle, she creates a heroine named for one of her own ancestors and starts to write. But then she discovers her novel is more fact than fiction....

I don't know what breathing technique this narrator thought he was using but the breathing drove me ballistic. The haaa sound after each word made it hard to listen to. I had to pick up the book and read when I could because I just couldn't tolerate it.

Historia
On the run after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., Private Investigator Smokey Dalton and Jimmy, the young boy he rescued, have settled under assumed names in Chicago. But history won’t leave him alone. His job in security at the Chicago Hilton places him in the center of the protests at the 1968 Democratic Convention. Worse, a killer works his South Side neighborhood, killing children. Smokey can’t ignore the crimes, any more than he can ignore the tension building in the city that hot August. He has to take action, before he loses everything.

Wonderful second book. I couldn't stop reading. I like the way it flows from book one and the fact that it was not overly repetitive, like many books in a series. It gives a brutally honest portrayal of social issues in the sixties, while maintaining the humanity of the characters.
