Historia
The Manchester Evening News declared, it took "a biographer like Ingrid Seward to unleash a sober, challenging glimpse into the one relationship of such scrutiny." That relationship is the complex, troubled, and often turbulent association between Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth.

Good read, but ….
Revisado: 12-14-21
Good book and the narration is excellent. However, the storyline jumps around a bit and is a little too much in favor of Charles and critical of Diana. Doubtless, there were faults on both sides, but the author seems prone to accept the Prince’s version.

Historia
Hannah has felt as bitter as November in Minnesota since Ross vanished without a trace and left their marriage in limbo. Still, she throws herself into a baking frenzy for the sake of pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving-themed treats while endless holiday orders pour into The Cookie Jar. Hannah even introduces a raspberry Danish pastry to the menu, and P.K., her husband's assistant at KCOW-TV, will be one of the first to sample it. But instead of taking a bite, P.K., who is driving Ross's car and using his desk at work, is murdered. Was someone plotting against P.K. all along or did Ross dodge a deadly dose of sweet revenge?

Too much filler

Disappointing book overall. Way too much time spent on descriptions of meals, foods, etc and way too little mystery. Mystery itself was obvious as soon as the character was introduced.

Historia
It was never supposed to be this close. And of course she was supposed to win. How Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump is the tragic story of a sure thing gone off the rails. For every Comey revelation or hindsight acknowledgment about the electorate, no explanation of defeat can begin with anything other than the core problem of Hillary's campaign - the candidate herself.

Definitely not an anti Hillary book
Revisado: 04-24-17
This is not an anti-Hillary Clinton book. It is an interesting read, but the tone of the book is more "Poor Hillary; she would have won if only ________". With her own name rarely filling in that blank. The authors seem to struggle with the same challenge as the Clinton campaign: why didn't this supposedly so well qualified candidate with what they call the best campaign operatives still not win the Presidency? The simple fact that many Americans didn't trust her and didn't believe her seemingly escaping them.
Non Clinton supporters will need a strong stomach as incidences are usually presented in the best light for her. Benghazi was a "cool and collected performance" instead of acknowledging the devastating "what difference does it make"
All in all an interesting book, bit leaves a lot of questions still unanswered

If you remove the very detailed descriptions of meals eaten and recipes, there's not a lot left for this book. I was so looking forward to the newest Hannah escapades and uhhh
The whole Ross storyline isn't working... rushed marriage, no discussions of their future before hand, more interested in spending time with her sister and friends than her new husband and then the mysterious ending. Ugh!

Losing Interest
Revisado: 12-09-16
I'll probably struggle on with the 3rd book in the series, but I'm not in any hurry. I normally can't wait for the next book, but the logic gaps and obvious plot twists are not making me want to start any time soon. Ransom Riggs' series is probably okay for the actual young adult market, but doesn't really hold up for the move outside that age level.

Historia
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets 16-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

It's Okay
Revisado: 12-09-16
The series is okay, but not nearly as strong as some other 'young adult' books.
Narrator kept forgetting the accents he was using for various characters; it was more amusing than annoying, but did distract from the listening experience. Does seem to improve in the second bookd.

America's fight against radical Islam could soon be over, and a top secret plan from the Cold War is the key to our victory. Dr. Sebastian Gorka, counterinsurgency expert and Distinguished Chair of Military Theory at Marine Corps University, explains how America can win the war on terror quickly and decisively by delegitimizing the enemy in the eyes of its followers - a strategy that won the Cold War and would end the era of Jihad forever.

Good Foundation for this Key Issue
Revisado: 12-09-16
This book provides a good fundamental exposure to the key issues around Islamic Terrorism and how we got to where we are today. Some of the points need more details or expansion and Wade's narration was a little wooden at times.

Historia
Fossil fuels are bad. Illegal immigration is necessary for the economy. Free markets are arbitrary and cruel. Christians are intolerant. Men and women are exactly the same. The dogma preached by the far left has gone mainstream and the results are frightening: Most of what you hear these days is flat-out wrong. Mark Davis pulls apart the tenets of liberal dogma in Upside Down, a right-side-up correction of everything that's wrong with today's topsy-turvy world.

Where does Upside Down rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
For those familiar with Mark's radio show(s), this book is an expansion of some of the key ideas he's expressed over the years. If you're not, treat yourself to some fundamental conservative ideas -- with a strong dose of common sense thrown in for good measure.

Ugh. Stop at #14 for your sake
Revisado: 05-28-16
JP should've stopped at 14 with this series. This was over blown melodrama. Normally, I want the books to continue after the end because I've gotten invested in the characters; this time I wanted it to end cause they were so annoying. LB had gone from tough, confident women to a basket case that falls apart and nice guy Joe can't find a way to leave word with the women he loves... Not to mention super cop didn't realize her husband had a secret life? Spare me from #16.
Performance is also bad. Half the women sound like bad valley girl imitations
