Historia
Hollywood has come to the scenic Smoky Mountain community of Hanover County, and dog-trainer Raine Stockton can’t resist the opportunity when her dogs are offered a chance at a role in the film. Filmmaking turns out not to be as exciting as Raine had expected, and the only upside to the long, mostly boring days is the new friend she makes on the set, a stuntwoman by the name of Dallas McKenzie. But it doesn’t take Raine long to discover Dallas is a woman of secrets and lies, and trouble seems to follow her wherever she goes.

Australian Shepherd Colors
Revisado: 05-07-19
First, great book! I love this series.
Second, to the person who said that Australian Shepherds don’t come in black and white or it is extremely rare, and that Border Collies are only black and white, she really should check the AKC breed guidelines before saying that the author doesn’t know her dogs.
According to AKC, Australian Shepherds come in several colors: Black, Blue Merle, Red Merle, and Red. They can have white, tan, markings. None of the colors are noted to be “rare”
As For border Collies, AKC breed standard indicates a bunch of colors, not just white and black: Black, Blue, blue Merle, Brindle, Gold, Lilac, Red, Red Merle, Sable, Sable Merle, Saddleback Sable, White & Black, plus more colors.
Donna Ball knows her dogs.

Ashley Bell Lives
Revisado: 02-24-16
Great book that keeps you wanting to know what happens; how it is happening; and how all the loose ends will be tied up.
Koontz is the master at laying description, backstory, and characterization--and as usual, sometimes this interferes in the pacing, because it's taking too long to get to the important stuff. For Koontz fans, though, we know it will be worth it in the end.

Surprised! First Audible Daily Deal a Winner!
Revisado: 01-03-16
This was the first book I purchased on the Audible Daily Deal. The book was only $2.95, but worth ten times that. The story kept me engaged with it the whole time. I thought the characters were well drawn-out, and the plot was rather unique. The narrator had a nice voice that carried you into the story to the point that you never wanted to leave. I highly recommend this book if you haven't read it. I am looking forward to finding other books by this author.

Karin Hits a Home Run with Pretty Girls
Revisado: 11-26-15
What made the experience of listening to Pretty Girls the most enjoyable?
A very action oriented book, yet with the perfect characterization mixed in the prose.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes! I found myself sitting in the parking garage or in my garage at home because I had to know what happened next!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Lydia told Claire it didn't matter, she forgives her. And Claire is yelling at her not to give up. Then Lydia says it's too late, I'm dead.
Any additional comments?
I love Karin's books--especially the Will Trent series!

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Love Original Twilight--Male version not so much
Revisado: 11-26-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This story doesn't work with a wimpy male character. I could never see what the Edyth (the female vampire) sees in Beau. A klutzy, low self-esteemed male character just wasn't attractive.
Don't get me wrong, I love the twilight series. I would have been thrilled if she had rewritten Twilight from Edwards POV. I have the complete series, even the Bree novels, the complete Twilight DVD series, plus the digital movies on my iPad.
Has Twilight turned you off from other books in this genre?
No.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
The reverse gender book of Twilight disappointed me.

Head Soap Writer to the Rescue!
Revisado: 09-22-05
Linda Palmer has found a niche in the mystery format that a great many readers will enjoy--combining Soap Opera with Murder Mysteries! It's obvious that Ms. Palmer has done her research very well in relation to how daytime drama is written, produced and directed. Her research brings a great deal of realism to the story as she introduces the Daytime Drama she writes for, the "Stars" of the show, and even keeps the reader up-to-date on what is happening on that drama all the while murder and mayhem is revolving around her life! Not to mention the two hunks that are in love/lust for her (a detective and a true crime author)--and then a third man walks in (who may be our murderer) and he is the first man she sleeps with since her husband passed away five years ago! Personally, I was rooting for Chet (the true crime author!
All in all, this is a great read and I'm looking forward to book #3.
