Fantastic Story
Revisado: 12-09-22
Loved this book. My first of Dan Brown's books and now I will have to read more.
Great thriller with intrigue, deception, and action to keep the audience entertained and guessing. I had a blast trying to put together the pieces and determine who was responsible for all the craziness going on. The vivid descriptions of the various locations are enlightening, and the various historical knowledge is wonderful to hear.

Strange choice in the story but good overall

Most of the story was enjoyable. The action scenes and most character interactions are a joy. Before a critical point in the story, for me there was way too much mushy gushy love between Cinder and Anya. Then the reason for them forgetting many of their memories seemed unnecessary and annoying. It was obvious they should not trust this demon but they did anyway.

Incredible
Revisado: 11-16-22
Then ending of this book is one of the most enjoyable endings of any book I have ever read. absolutely incredible. I have enjoyed the first 2 books but that haven't really stood out to me compared to Red Rising and the Stormlight Archives. The end of this book changed that, and I'm excited to see where this saga goes.

Fantastic
Revisado: 11-06-22
I really enjoyed this book. The author does a great job of slowly bringing in mysteries where the reader can start to put together pieces before it is revealed in the story. Nick Podehls performance is also as fantastic as ever.

Great Young Adult Book
Revisado: 06-15-22
First: Nick Podehl's narration is incredible.
Now that the obvious is stated, the story. I really enjoyed many aspects of the story. It had humor, good fights, friendships. I would say it is more of a young adult story though. Not that adults wouldnt enjoy it, I did. The main character often speaks out of place, or challenges those above his station, and is never punished for it or faces any reprocusion. Also the same cheesy motto along the lines of "everyone be friends" is constantly repeated.
Aside from those criticisms, the story is fun and entertaining. I will definitely be listening to the next one.

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

Fantastic, but a little hard to follow
Revisado: 04-17-22
Plenty of action, excitement, and twists in this book as is to be expected of the red rising series. the only issue I had was that the story kept jumping around in the middle, with more and more coming up that became hard to keep track of. it simplifies toward the end though. Otherwise it was a great story and I'm looking forward to the next book!

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Fantastic introduction to Brandon Sanderson
Revisado: 02-05-22
Amazing story. loved the twists and how there were hints that allowed the reader to figure out things shortly before the characters did. I started with the stormlight archive series (which is amazing too I might add), but this feels like a better entrance to Brandon Sanderson. would recommend this book to anyone looking for some good fantasy.

Good but enjoyed the first more
Revisado: 11-11-21
This book has a ton of action, plotting, betrayal, and friendship. I really enjoyed most of the book, however it was focused so much on action to me compared to the first that I enjoyed it less. Also, I hated the ending (I won't spoil anything). The narration was fantastic again as expected!
