Intriguing mystery by promising new author

Well-written and effectively narrated tale of a murder in small town Iowa that was not what it seemed. A young reporter becomes part of the story as he follows his instinct & clues. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the audiobook as I had already read a hard copy. Excited that this is first in a series and impatiently waiting for future books. Highly recommended by this former small town Iowa girl

Most impressed at the way he has so well integrated concepts from a variety of theologians & other thinkers, his own life experience, a lifetime of Bible study into a faith he Iives out effectively. Both interesting & inspiring

I worked the street for many years before I entered the Gang Task Force, joining it with the idea that I could rise to the level of violence of any banger I encountered - a really stupid idea. I wanted to "earn back" the respect of the citizens for the police; I grew up in this city, and I worked its streets the best way I knew how, feeling that I had a firsthand understanding of what the citizens were experiencing.
