Heavy on the sex, light on plot

So much sex that the plot gets lost! I miss the days of Anita kicking butt and busting bad guys. Now she's mostly naked and banging in every other chapter

Different narrator with kind of annoying voice

Harrison delivers but narrator falls flat. Crazy high-pitched voice for Jenks makes your ears practically bleed. Pronunciation of certain words/names differs from what we've heard in the previous books...every time she says "lee" lines and Ta-kah-taaaa it irks me. So glad M. Gavin does the majority of the narrating. Love the Hallows though, Rachel is one bad-ass itchy-witch!

Good series

I recently discovered this series while looking through titles included in my membership and definitely recommend 👌. Entertaining for anyone who's a fan of Criminal Minds (with the occasional harlequin romance-style hookup lol).

I've listened to books 1-3, the 3rd is my least favorite so far but still good.

Overall I like this narrator, he does a good job distinguishing one character from another. My only criticism would be in his voices for the main female character, he tends to start off sounding really monotone and slightly slow, like she'd taken a handful of ambien lol. Give him a chance though, he "warms up" after a while, or I got used to it, very entertaining regardless!

D&D Nerd's must read!

Loved it! As a D&D nerd myself I delighted in this listen. Kudos that the lead character is a chick...even better that she's no goodie-twoshoes and truly gets creative with the tools she has. A+++

So many things addressed and brought to light within this record of the daily insanity inside the WH. You may not want to know how abnormal the status quo really is, but everyone NEEDS to know in these critical times leading up to the 2020 elections.

Still a decent book, but the story seemed really short and a bit flat compared to some of his other titles. Kind of wishing I could get my credit back on this one.

Narrator was a bit slow and kind of flat but not intolerable. For a ghost story the emphasis wasn't so much on the ghosts but the wicked living perpetuating the paranormal, and I enjoyed the change of pace immensely!

The Hallows brought to life!

Marguerite Gavin does a remarkable job narrating these books, I actually returned an earlier book in the series due to the narrator's voice sounding like a piece of broken glass on my eardrum would feel. Marguerite successfully gives each character a distinctive sound, all reflecting the individual personalities wonderfully. I applaud her portrayal of Jynx, she gave the little pixie all of the moxy and toughness without giving him a hokey Mickey mouse squeak of a voice. Really great work bringing this amazing author's Hallows world to life!

Seriously though...I almost cried over Matalina. I read the book a long time ago, but hearing the characters voices and the pain the narrator conveys...wow
