Great story as always. The narration with Matt Bates has improved. I just wish he would stop mispronouncing “Ragnar”.

Where is Keeble?!
Revisado: 06-26-23
Story is great. Would have been better with Johnathan Keeble as the narrator. He’s a tough act to follow.

I enjoyed the story very much. The narrator is enjoyable, but Jonathan Keeble set the stage and in my opinion is a hard act to follow. It’s too bad he only narrated 4 books in the series.

Historia
"The North" is simultaneously a location, a direction, and a mystical concept. Although this concept has ancient roots in mythology, folklore, and fairy tales, it continues to resonate today within modern culture. McIntosh leads listeners through the magical and spiritual history of the North, as well as its modern manifestations, as documented through physical records, such as runestones and megaliths, but also through mythology and lore. This mythic conception of a powerful, mysterious Northern civilization was known to the Greeks as "Hyberborea" - the "Land Beyond the North Wind".

Review of BNW
Revisado: 01-12-23
An individual needs to be familiar with subject matter to truly enjoy the book. The information, names, places, and books referenced are mentioned in the chapters. It reads how books on this kind of subject were written in the past, in a matter of fact manner, not an academic term paper. To be honest I found it refreshing and enjoyable to listen to and learned some new information that will aid in further research on the subject matter. In my opinion it’s a great listen/read. If your into esoteric subjects regarding the ancient religion of Europe, have a good understanding of its roots, legends, etc., you will enjoy the book.

Groundbreaking, thrilling and revealing, The Reaper is the astonishing memoir of Special Operations Direct Action Sniper Nicholas Irving, the 3rd Ranger Battalion's deadliest sniper with 33 confirmed kills, though his remarkable career total, including probables, is unknown. Irving shares the true story of his extraordinary military career, including his deployment to Afghanistan in the summer of 2009, when he set another record, this time for enemy kills on a single deployment.

Historia
The Marine Special Operations Command ("MARSOC") is the newest component of the military's shift toward a fully integrated Special Operations Command structure. At first, the Marines were strongly against any Marines serving under anyone other than another Marine. Then 9/11 happened. In the years following, Marine forces found themselves growing more agreeable to inter-branch operational command, finally forming the Marine Special Operations Command in 2006.
