Historia
In 1922, Count Alexander Rostov is deemed an unrepentant aristocrat by a Bolshevik tribunal, and is sentenced to house arrest in the Metropol, a grand hotel across the street from the Kremlin. Rostov, an indomitable man of erudition and wit, has never worked a day in his life, and must now live in an attic room while some of the most tumultuous decades in Russian history are unfolding outside the hotel’s doors. Unexpectedly, his reduced circumstances provide him entry into a much larger world of emotional discovery.

Took way to long to get into
Revisado: 12-06-17
I loved the book but only after hating the book and being shocked at how well received it was doing. The beginning of the book was almost a choir to get through and I almost removed the book from my library, but I remembered seeing a review that said the same thing I'm saying now, so I stuck around. I'm glad I pushed through to the end because 3/4ths of the book is well worth the price of admission. The characters are interesting and make the book, the story isn't anything special but does have it's moments, and the dialogue is one of the special gems of this book. Also the narrator is perfect there will be times it sounds as if more than one person is narrating. To sum it all up, I loved the experience I just wish the first part of the book wasn't tough to get through.

Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Never thought I'd like it
Revisado: 10-19-17
For a story with not much going on, it was utterly captivating. Nothing eventful happens, there is no real antagonist, there is no arc to follow, yet with all the being said there has not been a story I felt so invested in in a while. Each character is unique and fleshed out perfectly. For a philosophical book it surprised me how much I was rooting for the characters. Audio was perfect as well. Every voice was different enough for it to seem as if there was more than one person reading it. I loved this audio so much I'm going to buy the book to reread and purchase more of the authors work.

not bad
Revisado: 03-12-17
if it was not for the short amount of time of the read, I would rank it lower. it very generic and doesn't offer any new ideas but for people just starting out its not so bad.
