Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Back and forth
Revisado: 08-08-20
The narrator's voice grated on me in the beginning, but wasn't hard to get used to.
The story on the other hand was only really so-so. There isn't anything here that wasn't hinted at in Twilight and in the first (partial) draft of Midnight Sun that was released years ago, but I prefer that draft. This version of the story is constantly getting bogged down in Edward's moral dilemmas to the point where it gets really preachy and boring. Other parts read a lot like a defense against all the bad reviews of Twilight. Almost like Meyer was trying to correct all the "flaws" people found in her earlier books. Explaining and self-justifying all the criticism her books received over Edward's creepy actions. Edward is constantly thinking about how much he is a terrible person and how he is bad for Bella, but then go on to self-justify and tries to explain how he really is a good person. Almost 26 hours of this. Three stars because outside of those moments, the story is good, but be warned those moments make up the majority of this book.

Historia
In the medieval and fantastic realm of Tortall, Keladry of Mindelan (known as Kel) is the first girl to take advantage of the decree that permits females to train for knighthood. Up against the traditional hazing of pages and a grueling schedule, Kel faces only one real roadblock: Lord Wyldon, the training master of pages and squires. He is absolutely against girls becoming knights. But Kel is not a girl to underestimate.

I love this story and could read it (and have) over and over again. The reader isn't my favorite, but she does an acceptable job.

Terrible reading
Revisado: 02-06-18
What disappointed you about Throne of Blood?
This sounds an awful lot like it is being read by Microsoft Sam.
Has Throne of Blood turned you off from other books in this genre?
No.
Would you be willing to try another one of Cassius Mishima’s performances?
No.
Any additional comments?
The story might be okay, but I couldn't get over the terrible reading.
