Mark did a great job of choosing people to coach for this book. I think everyone can relate to at least one person or aspect of the challenges they have in areas of romance. I appreciate their openness.

Revisado: 04-18-25
Very helpful, great information from a knowledgeable, respectable doctor. Lots of great exercises, too. Her narration was great. For some reason, I had a difficult time holding my attention at times. Unfortunately, I can't say why that is. I'm super grateful the author covered disorganized attachment, which is what I've been. I get discouraged at times where I still struggle, but this section helped me realize how much progress I've made. I will listen again and would recommend it to others.

I like the way this coach/author explains things
Revisado: 04-13-25
I discovered Jillian when she was interviewed on a couple of podcasts I watch on YouTube. The way she words things really resonates with me, so I decided to buy her book. I'm glad I did, and I will be listening again. I made sure to bookmark and note a number of areas, so I can go back and do the exercises she recommends. It's valuable information for someone like me, who has had a significant amount of relational trauma going back to childhood (so has Jillian). She reminds us that in putting in the effort, we will mess up along the way, but it's important to recognize we are making progress. I need to keep this in mind because I tend to get frustrated by not yet being where I want to be. In these moments, I fail to recognize how much growth and progress I've already made. And she's right, it all starts with ourselves.

Extremely helpful
Revisado: 03-12-25
I'll be listening to this again. It isn't just about getting over my most recent ex. It's about learning how to relate in a healthier way moving forward. The first man to break my heart was my father. I've done tons of therapy, inner child work, etc and have forgiven him and let go of my past. What I'm finally figuring out, which this book helped, is that I developed patterns as a child to protect myself and survive that I must learn to recognize and replace with healthier patterns. These patterns and distorted thinking are what I want to let go of next. This book helped me to understand that it's akin to learning a new language. Picking up our primary language young was much easier. Now that it's deeply settled in, learning a new language in my early 40s is going to take much more time, patience and practice. This analogy helps me remember that while I'm not where I want to be when it comes to romantic relationships, I've still been learning and all the effort I've put in hasn't gone to waste. It helps me remember that like a language, we must continue to practice and use what we learn.

I absolutely love the content of this book!
Revisado: 05-05-24
I will listen to it several more times. So many golden nuggets, especially with self love, getting ourselves ready to be in a healthy relationship, being okay with things as they are and surviving heartbreak. There may be a chapter or two that doesn't apply to your specific situation, but I surprisingly found valuable nuggets in ones that I thought didn't apply to me. This has so much great info...one of the best "self development" books I've listened to in a long time. I was engaged for every aspect. Thankfully, Matthew's voice is good to listen to, didn't bore me a bit.

I'm glad I listened...
Revisado: 09-15-23
Not just to this book but to the self-development and spiritual influencers I follow and respect, who highly recommended this book.
At some point, I heard Michael A Singer on a YouTube video and for some reason, it caused me some resistance towards digging in any deeper into who he was or what he was about. And now I understand why. Life was at work and it wasn't the right time.
When it became the right time, I was led to this book. I initially wondered why in the world I ever resisted, but that's coming from a place in my life when, upon hearing his amazing journey and outlook on life, it was the right (divine) time for me to hear it.
The message life is giving me couldn't be more clear and was bundled up perfectly in this book - if I follow the blueprint laid out here, it's the answer to my battles with severe anxiety, fear, being constantly overwhelmed and in pain, and unsuccessfully trying to strong arm what is out of existence through sheer will and resistance. I've been battling and resisting my life circumstances, swimming upstream for as long as I can remember. The message in this book contains my answer to accepting what is, whatever that may be at any given moment.
Michael provides an overall simple message that I've heard in several different ways, yet it's a profound message that I understood at a deeper level than ever before. I credit Michael to living out the message and providing plenty of examples of what can come by going with the flow of life, rather than trying to control it or force life to hand me what I want. It's a very unique take on having faith and trusting that life happens for us, not to us. It reminds me that the nonstop chattering in my brain doesn't know best and isn't a reliable source. That life isn't about what I like or dislike, or even what I think is best for me. It's about trusting that life knows what's best, and surrendering to it can make my time here much more meaningful and pleasant.

Awesome book, about to listen again.
Revisado: 05-06-23
Each book has a different narrator, which I like because they're all good. It really helps to separate and remember there really are 3 books in 1 with this purchase.
Because I listen on the go, it's difficult to bookmark each exercise every time, but I will do so when I can in the next round. Wishing the PDF listed out all the different exercises.
That said, I still got golden nuggets and exercises that I remembered. I got the Manifest and Gratitude Journal apps on Google play that's are great compliments to this book.
It's a comprehensive manifesting book, really the only one you'll need. The accompanied PDF will get you a printout of some great tools/exercises. I signed up for the author's email list, and I'm really glad I did, as I wish to get updates and stay in contact.
I'm very pleased with the content of this book. Well worth the purchase.

All 3 books in this Audible were applicable to me
Revisado: 02-09-22
The only thing I didn't care for was the notes or index at the end of the books. Listening to someone read a bunch of website links were painful, so I simply skipped past these "chapters." Especially since a PDF version of this 3-in-1 book comes with this Audible, I don't think it was needed to read these sections. That said, I love that the PDF version was provided. The author gives a number of exercises to help with our healing journey. That said, I'm usually doing something else while listening to Audible, so it isn't feasible to stop what I'm doing to do the exercises. Now that I have a print copy and listened to the Audible book, I can refer back to the exercises and do them.
For me, this book was well worth a credit, and I plan to listen to it several more times. Each one was applicable to me and relationships I've had (both intimate and familial). I like that it helped me recognize and validate my experiences but also offered solutions and ways to have healthier relationships and recognize red flags moving forward. It helped me understand my part in things, the childhood trauma I experienced, how it still affects me today, and how it set the stage for the types of relationships I was in. I believe I'll pick up new nuggets with each listen, as there's so much valuable information, it's difficult to absorb it all with one listen. I highly recommend this book and author. He seems very knowledgeable on the subject matters. I would get other books by this author.
