This book surprised me! It had a dark side to it, but so much redemption. A great depiction of learning to heal and love and grow. Beautiful!
The second epilogue was confusing, but enjoyed the main story immensely!

Such a powerful story!!

D.E. Carlson has hit it out of the park! Not only is this a very well written story, but the themes that are present are so hope filled. I recommend this to anyone who loves adventure, dragons, a hint of romance and epic good vs evil!
The voice performance was pretty good. She sounded very young and the recording quality sounded slightly off. There were two chapters that ended before they were finished. I have a physical copy of the book so I was able to finish those chapters there.
Definitely still recommended though!

Wow! THIS WILL SHAKE YOU!

I feel like words fail me in trying to convey the emotions this book provoked. I’m in tears as I finish listening because it was that stunningly beautiful. I’m shook. The voice actors were SPOT on! Black is an outstanding author and my new favorite!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have enjoyed Beauty and the Beast in many forms most of my life so to find this I was very interested. It did not disappoint!! Sweet, enchanting, captivating, worth it!!

Absolutely LOVED this story!!

I have listened to many of Roseanna’s stories and this may be my new favorite. It’s full of adventure, tender love, drama, and God’s love in the face of tragedy. Wonderfully written and perfectly read by Liz!

Not Impressed

I was so excited to find this book but after only a few chapters I was bored. By 20 chapters I was mad, and the rest was worse.

It should not have been labeled as a retelling. This was NOT Esther. Maybe if it was its own story and not labeled as a retelling it could work, but do not go in expecting the story of Esther from scripture.

Maybe I’m just not cut out for this “dark fantasy”. It was dark and there was no resolution to anything.

My understanding of the biblical Esther did not leave her story in pain. I’ve always viewed redemption and love. Those things are not present here.

The main character is angry and hatful, never do we see God in her.

Very disappointed.

Fabulous Story and Narrator!

This was a fabulous conclusion to this series. All the questions answered in a brilliant way. This series was outstanding!
