Author is Amped About Life and Will Motivate You

This is a good motivational book and frankly tells you information that we all need to hear/should know but are unwilling to tell ourselves. I am glad the author decided to read the book himself rather than use an actor because his passion shows through. He also adds a few things off script that are entertaining.

There is a lot of money to be made at small-stakes no-limit hold'em because...surprise, surprise...most of the players aren't very good. However, few players understand exactly how to exploit these games. Competent players who generally play larger stakes will, of course, beat them. But they won't beat them for nearly as much as they ought to. Why? Because they don't understand how to adjust correctly.

I highly recommend this book because it has some really great, solid advice about playing poker. That being said, I would also order the physical copy (or e-book) of the book because listening to hand ranges and charts described is tough to follow. There is the option to go online and download the charts referenced but, since most people are listening to this audiobook while multi-tasking, it is not ideal to also have to review charts online. I think from a learning perspective, read the book and study the charts, then use this audiobook to polish up the concepts on the go.

Horrible Narration!

I enjoyed the expertise that went into this poker book. It was nice to hear from some of the best poker players in the world describing some of their tips and tricks for various, fundamental aspects of poker. As an audio book it does work, however, when hand ranges or hand descriptions are done, it is a bit more difficult to follow along and that is where a physical copy of the book is probably a bit more helpful. However, given the realities of today's go-go-go society, it is much more convenient to listen to this book as an audio book. Highly recommended for a good general crash course on good poker info.
