Very dark and sad but well written and performed

I didn't know what reverse harem meant exactly, and as the story unfolded, I was saddened by the relationships and multiple sexual partners and fear, dominance aspects of the story, but the narrator was amazing and I kept listening because it was intriguing and so well written. I don't think I will read more of the series simply because of the darkness but if that doesn't bother you, then I cannot imagine how it could have been done any better. Very impressive work by author and voice actress.

Enjoyed another Henderson book

This author does a wonderful job of creating caring and compassionate characters in situations that are real and intermingling Christian values criss-crossing with unsavory criminals...and the narrator is very good at distinguishing the characters for easy listening without making anything distracting. Well done, ladies!

Interesting characters with good moral message

My first book in this genre, and it was lovely. Nicely written and good pace. I appreciate complicated storylines ajd underlying moral message. Johanna's performance gave life to the characters and added to the pleasure.

First book I have listened to written by Heyer. Enjoyed her writing creativity and character development. Narrator was nothing short of incredible...all the characters had a special tone...amazing!

This is one I couldn't finish

The main character made zero sense. No valedictorian is that stupid. I found narrator distracting from when she said Chapter One-nah! Word endings dragging out bothered me. I am sorry to leave negative feedback but I hope it helps readers, writer, and narrator sonehow.

Sweet story - Great narration but...

i really enjoyed this author's story. characters and storyline fun and believable. It is the first two-narrator book I have heard and I liked their voices but might have liked it more if male read all male dialogue and female read female dialogue

If the author isn't a chef, I am impressed at the culinary details. I could imagine the scenes and without any expectations, I enjoyed it. Narrator did well with male, female and accents for the characters.
