I implemented hacks one and two while still listening, and already felt more energized and less sugar cravings. I have a world class sweet tooth, so that’s saying something. I struggle with two insulin-resistant disorders: MOGAD and PCOS. I’m looking forward to seeing how this advice will help. Thanks for such an easy to understand wealth of knowledge.

This is a wonderful synopsis of some of his best works, and encourages me to read some of those that I did not know. Sorina Higgins is a true delight.

Good story, but way too descriptive…

The story and performance were really good, but it read like a YA novel with all of the unnecessary descriptions. I found myself getting lost in it, and not in a good way. An hour could have been shaved off without all of the extra!

A beautiful tribute Northern New Mexico!

Eeeee! I loved every minute of this audiobook. As a nurse both at Espanola Presbyterian and St. Vincent’s in Santa Fe ten years ago, I was struck by the feeling that this could have been any one of my young patients. The beauty and tragedy of the region is so artistically written. The instant affection for all of the characters is unmatched in any recent novel. This made me not only miss the Norteños of Northern New Mexico, but also the landscape, smells, foods, but mostly it’s fierce dedication to family. I will continue to recommend and read again. Thank you to the author for such a magical presentation!

Balls, balls, balls

I am really enjoying the series, but for the love of all things holy, can we please stop taking about balls? Call them ANYTHING else, or just knock it off. I’m no prude, just could do without the constant ball talk!

beautifully written, very important read

heartbreaking reality of the 21st century, guided by hope for the future. this book accurately portrays the life that I knew while living close to several New Mexico pueblos. I love the way the author did not hold back nor inflate the gravity of these childrens' lives. I am hopeful that more awareness will change the future narrative. I am grateful for those who make it their mission to pass along a threatened culture and history through language and story. I will be checking out several of the books that the author suggested and any other works that he may be involved with.
