Was great but with the years since book some is common knowledge
Revisado: 02-09-25
It was very good. There’s definitely some that’s common knowledge as a result of digital nomads becoming fairly mainstream. I was one before it was mainstream and something struck me more as a good reminder than new information. Overall, the book is excellent.

Historia
For all its good intentions, Who Moved My Cheese? basically reduces us to mice in a maze sniffing after cheese. Harvard Business School professor Deepak Malhorta uses a fable involving a different set of mice in a maze—mice who question everything—to help readers see how they underestimate their ability change the rules, overcome the constraints they face, and control their own destiny.

Entrepreneurs move your cheese (?)
Revisado: 01-25-25
And listening to this it’s like Who Moved My Cheese? is for typical people who want to work a job 9 to 5 not don’t appreciate change and some change but in general I think that first book does a great job of representing what most people want. This book on the other hand seems like it is about people who won’t work the status quo many of whom are going to either be entrepreneurs maybe a side hustle, etc.

Historia
After decades of research, world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck discovered a simple but groundbreaking idea: the power of mindset. In this brilliant book, she describes how success in school, work, sports, the arts, and almost every area of human endeavor can be dramatically influenced by how we think about our talents and abilities. In this edition, Dweck offers new insights into her now famous and broadly embraced concept. She introduces a phenomenon she calls false growth mindset and guides people toward adopting a deeper, truer growth mindset.

Great mindset to have and convince others to have
Revisado: 05-09-24
It describes well how some people view effort as valuable and others view talent, however the real winners in life as those who put forth effort and the lucky ones who put effort into things they have natural skills at can learn to really succeed.

Historia
Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

Great tips but even more important perspectives
Revisado: 08-06-22
This book is full of great tips on time management but lots of books contain tips. There is a lot more discussion around perspectives and how we think of time that really are more helpful than just raw tips. It's a good quick read.

Boeing is a century-old titan of industry. It played a major role in the early days of commercial flight, World War II bombing missions, and moon landings. The plane maker remains a cornerstone of the U.S. economy, as well as a linchpin in the awesome routine of modern air travel. But in 2018 and 2019, two crashes of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 killed 346 people. The crashes exposed a shocking pattern of malfeasance, leading to the biggest crisis in the company’s history—and one of the costliest corporate scandals ever.

Historia
They actually have vastly different styles and backgrounds. Yet despite their differences, great managers share one common trait: They don’t hesitate to break virtually every rule held sacred by conventional wisdom. They don’t believe that, with enough training, a person can achieve anything he sets his mind to. They don’t try to help people overcome their weaknesses. And, yes, they even play favorites. In this longtime management bestseller, Gallup presents the remarkable findings of its massive in-depth study of great managers.
