Historia
Come inside a jury room as one juror leads a starkly divided room to consensus. Join a young CIA officer as he recruits a reluctant foreign agent. And sit with an accomplished surgeon as he tries, and fails, to convince yet another cancer patient to opt for the less risky course of treatment. In Supercommunicators, Charles Duhigg blends deep research and his trademark storytelling skills to show how we can all learn to identify and leverage the hidden layers that lurk beneath every conversation.

As a developing expert in interpersonal communication practices and negotiating I was blown away how many aspects are presented in this book. The narration was on point. I felt that this book summed up 10/10 of all of the core fundamentals needed to navigate and prepare for constructive and powerful conversations from 1 on 1 discussions to large groups. Well done!

Loved it all. It's a great way to learn about how you can go from good to great to unstoppable. The mindset that's required to reach levels that other people just talk about. this is a basketball book. 100%, but the examples and what he learns about the 13 number ones is awesome to know in your mind and to practice in your life, whether it's business, professional, personal or whatever venture you have.

Absolutely loved the interviews and the PDF that was included. This book gave me all kinds of autonomy to multiple situations in my life. Incredible perspective and tons of tools to gain control over patterns that were created to protect me in the past, but hurt me in the present.

Historia
Lane Moore is a rare performer who is as impressive onstage - whether hosting her iconic show Tinder Live or being the enigmatic front woman of It Was Romance - as she is on the page, as both a former writer for The Onion and an award-winning sex and relationships editor for Cosmopolitan. But her story has had its obstacles, including being her own parent, living in her car as a teenager, and moving to New York City to pursue her dreams. Through it all, she looked to movies, TV, and music as the family and support systems she never had.

Incredible perspectives and stories of challenge
Revisado: 04-06-23
The cover is a little misleading but if you listen for it there are multiple times where she gives incredible insight to the holidays (and why people like me with toxic families get down during the holidays) and how it's okay to want love and to try. She's funny, inspiring and real. I did get the book to learn in depth about being alone but that's okay. I treasure this audiobook and she's an inspiration. It's very entertaining as well. Oh and she points out serious social norms and other things well worth learning about that do need to change and harm society in ways. Thank you Lane!!

Historia
Lost in Thought is a passionate and timely reminder that a rich life is a life rich in thought. Today, when even the humanities are often defended only for their economic or political usefulness, Hitz says our intellectual lives are valuable not despite but because of their practical uselessness. And while anyone can have an intellectual life, she encourages academics in particular to get back in touch with the desire to learn for its own sake and calls on universities to return to the person-to-person transmission of the habits of mind and heart that bring out the best in us.

INCREDIBLE
Revisado: 10-21-22
I absolutely could not put this book down. I read approximately 50 or more books a year, mostly in the realm of human behavior and psychology, philosophy and personal development, communications etc, etc. Zena gives incredible perspectives and knowledge about learning and thought, thinking, and the intellectual life that I never ever could have fathomed. Her work is appreciated so much and this book was absolutely incredible. Thank you Zena. Thank you for teaching us how the systems for learning are starting to tear and how education and the intellectual life is being forced into learning for fame and fortune instead of for humanity. ❤️🫂
