Historia
When Ruby woke up on her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something alarming enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that got her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government "rehabilitation camp." She might have survived the mysterious disease that killed most of America's children, but she and the others emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they cannot control. Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones.

Really Good!
Revisado: 02-23-23
After finishing this first book I can see why Hollywood never finished making the movie series and stopped after the first movie. They completely changed it and left so much out! The Book is so good and I'm in love with the characters. I can't wait to read the next one to find out more about Ruby and Liam and her time spent at the children's league. I feel like the Narrator did an excellent job as well, she kept things very entertaining 👏 😄

Her senses grow sharper, her thinking clearer, and for the first time in her life she feels herself fully in control. By the age of 16, she's competing for the US Open championship. But as Beth hones her skills on the professional circuit, the stakes get higher, her isolation grows more frightening, and the thought of escape becomes all the more tempting.

Really Awesome Story!
Revisado: 03-16-22
I really enjoyed this book! I couldn't stop listening. it took me only 1 week to finish it..Besides the Paris side drama that the Netflix version added about Beth having a love affair with a women, the show was pretty spot on, However I loved the book sooo much better. it was awesome to understand Beth's thoughts and feelings. Unlike a lot of the reviews here, I had no issue with the Narrator being really monotone. I picture Beth being extremely monotone so thought it flowed with the story well, and didn't effect how I listened to the story.

I really enjoyed the Janie Johnson series
Revisado: 03-02-22
Finally finished listening to the Janie Johnson series by Caroline B. Cooney on my drive home from work last night. Though I thought it was really well done and every book made me want to read the next one, I thought the last book's ending was really rushed. Everything was wrapped up really really quickly in the last chapter and there are still plenty of unanswered questions that I wish the author would have addressed. Overall though it was a really good series, and I would recommend them.

Loved it!
Revisado: 04-28-21
I really enjoyed it! I thought it was 10 times better than the movie. I loved how the murderer in the end explained exactly how he did everything. I also really enjoyed being able to read everyone's thoughts while things were happening, it made the paranoia that the characters were experiencing better. I would highly recommend this listen to anyone wanting to hear a good murder mystery!

Historia
Suburbia. Shady, tree-lined streets; well-tended lawns; and cozy homes. A nice, quiet place to grow up. Unless you are teenage Meg or her crippled sister, Susan. On a dead-end street, in the dark, damp basement of the Chandler house, Meg and Susan are left captive to the savage whims and rages of a distant aunt who is rapidly descending into madness. It is a madness that infects all three of her sons and finally the entire neighborhood. Only one troubled boy stands hesitantly between Meg and Susan and their cruel, torturous deaths.

Very Brutal and Raw. Characters were Developed well and read perfectly. Highly Recommend. Do not listen too however if you dont want to be disturbed deeply. How horrible it is that this story was based off of actual events. Poor Sylvia.

So Very Disturbing...Yet I Can't Stop Listening!
Revisado: 06-07-20
Book....Written very very well, but it is very disturbing as it is about a 42 year old Teacher having a relationship with a 15 year old Girl all told through the girls perspective....as disturbing as it is, I can't stop listening to it, it is very good and very hard to put down. During this entire story, as you listen, its horrible to hear and you know that this relationship Vanessa is in is wrong in every way, however everybody seems to know this except Vanessa. you are waiting the entire book for Vanessa to make the connection that this is wrong! Highly Recommend Listening too! I couldnt stop listening. I usually only listen to my audio books when I'm driving, but I found myself listening for hours while I was home. I had to find out what happened to Vanessa next.

Historia
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Revisado: 09-19-19
the writing seems very juvenile to me. after the second book I am still not sucked in. I will try a third time, but I'm not setting my hopes too high. I still do not understand what all the hub bub is about Harry Potter or why it was turned into billions of dollars in franchise and movies.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Pretty Good.
Revisado: 08-22-19
I figured after all these years it was time for me to see what all this Harry Potter hub bub was about. The story never sucked me in as a younger child, I just never picked up the books. I finally decided there must be something that makes all these people like the Harry Potter Universe so much, so I purchased the sorcerer's stone here on audible. as far as a first book goes it was okay. I'm really not sucked in yet. This whole first part seemed kinda juvenile to me. characters were developed well, and the narrator did a good job. It was better then I anticipated, however I'm just not at the point were the story has sucked me in yet. I'm not at the point where I don't wanna put this book down. I will continue on to the second book, and hopefully the story drags me in better and doesnt stay so juvenile.

Historia
Jane Harris lives in a sparkling home in an oceanfront gated community in Orange County. It’s a place that seems too beautiful to be touched by sadness. But exactly one year ago, Jane’s oldest daughter, Mary, died in a tragic accident, and Jane has been grief-stricken ever since. Lost in a haze of antidepressants, she’s barely even left the house. Now, that’s all about to change.

I loved listening to this book sooo much! I couldnt stop listening to it! I love psychological aspects of the way it is written! you find yourself identifying with the main character! the farther you get in the story, the more you realize how Jane unravels!
