The performance is out of this world!

Excellent narration, the voice artist can create numerous voices which are all easy to distinguish from each other and paint the characters clearly.. The story is interesting, even educating, and all is written so well the scenes feel very real. There is even is a bit of slapstick type comedy here and there, good humor. The characters are painted clearly and befitting to the story. The mystery is very smartly created and resolved. This is an outstanding production!

This narrator! Superb!
Revisado: 04-01-25
The narrator is one exceptional voice actor, able to embody 10-15 different characters, not only with voice variations and dialects but also portraying the personalities very fitting. I hope he will read many more books. The story is creative, convincing and a true cozy mystery. It all makes sense, great characters, well crafted story, great setting. This is a great book and I'll want to listen to the rest of the series too.

Not cozy, creates unpleasant feelings. Great narrator though
Revisado: 03-20-25
So far I liked the books in the series. This one, I have a hard time going through. Brutal, and going from bad to worse and no positives sprinkled in, depressing. This book will beat you down if are not already. I guess there will be a positive ending but not sure I'll make it through to hear it. I m more than half through, almost two thirds and will stop listening to this one or take it in small doses only.
The narrator is outstanding though, the variety of lovely characters are well reflected and recognizable with the voices she gives them.

She said yes to Morelli. She said yes to Ranger. Now Stephanie Plum has two fiancés and no idea what to do about it. But the way things are going, she might not live long enough to marry anyone. While Stephanie stalls for time, she buries herself in her work as a bounty hunter, tracking down an unusually varied assortment of fugitives from justice. There’s Eugene Fleck, a seemingly sweet online influencer who might also be YouTube star Robin Hoodie, masked hero to the homeless, who hijacks delivery trucks and distributes their contents to the needy.

really great story and outstanding narration
Revisado: 01-05-25
wow, this was an outstanding Stephanie Plum story. You would think that after that many books it would be same old, same old, but, not so. The story is captivating and there were some truly humorous moments. And some really serious ones. As always the characters and dialogues are outstanding. Above all Lorelei King, the most excellent voice actressbrings the characters to life like nobody else can do. I highly recommend this book.

good story, great narrator but overly dramatic main character
Revisado: 12-20-24
the main character's drama is a bit much for my taste. I caught my eyes rolling upwards when she went on her self flagellation rants. Other than that the characters, the story, the atmosphere, the marathon, are all really good.

I just love the characters and the always beautiful setting. The story has some real merit and I always learn something. Here about the exoneration and true crime scene. Bernadette Dunne is the perfect voice for the Meg Langslow stories, channeling each character with protection. This is my favorite series and hopefully Donna Andrews will write a lot more.

great narrator, good story and a dog 🙂
Revisado: 11-26-24
The narrator is exceptional, thanks to her the story comes across as quite strong. Overall I liked it, it is a cozy mystery with a lot of Christmas atmosphere. The main character is a bit over the top dramatic for my taste but at the same time she learns and gets stronger, which is a nice development. And I love stories with dogs, so I'll get the next one in the series.

Great story, great narrator - I loved it!
Revisado: 05-22-24
After a bit a slow start this book turned into a page turner (is such a thing is possible with an audiobook). Margaret Strom does a fabulous job narrating, playing the different characters and laying their actions out. She brings the location, people and whole story to life. The story is twisted like real life and the mystery unfolds piece by piece. This is really well written, one can picture the scene, the locales, the people and their actions. It is a true cozy mystery, I am so happy I came across those books. Hopefully the series will get more books added over time. This is a great one!
