Historia
Martin Lorensen is a twenty-three-year-old counselor for disturbed teenagers. He’s bright, compassionate, attractive, and outgoing. He’s also—and this is the most interesting thing—not dead. Martin has improbably survived not one but two deadly disasters that claimed dozens of lives. The kid is riding one hell of a lucky streak. Two federal agents think there is something darker at play. Now that they’ve arranged to interview Martin, they want answers. Martin is ready to share everything he knows. One thing is for certain: when it comes to escaping death, luck doesn’t figure into it at all.

Historia
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

Historia
Ezra Toth is your typical sword for hire. A dark past, a few secrets, a talent for killing, with a sharp sword and sharper wit. He returns from an ordinary, arduous job to find representatives of the crown waiting for him at his home - not so typical. They bring him to the crown prince who has a problem only Ezra can solve. Crown Prince Christophe's brother, and possibly even the king himself, are part of a plot to assassinate him. With no idea who in the palace is truly loyal to who, Ezra must navigate a myriad of potential suspects whilst protecting the heir.

Revisado: 05-06-21
A highly trained member of the Sword&Shield. The best assassin in a time of assassins. When some people have a bad day, their friends buy them a beer... When Ezra Toth has a bad day, entire towns hide.
This book is fantastically written. The main character is charismatic, relatable and engaging. The plot is clear and well though out. The supporting characters are consistent in their actions and logical with their motivations. There are strong characters of every type. There's a little old lady that runs a dress shop... she's Awesome!
This book isn't pushing any agendas. It's just a fantastic book about brilliantly written people.
Get this book. You will not regret it.

Historia
Set in present-day Los Angeles, Junk explores an epic conspiracy, one at work for thousands of years that involves total takeover of the planet Earth by aliens. In the wild, souped-up vision of Les Bohem - the acclaimed, Emmy-winning writer of the Steven Spielberg miniseries, Taken - the world is at the end stage of long-range plot that involves a gigantic genetic-engineering project. The aliens who have invaded us have no planet. No spaceship is coming. Instead, a small advance force comes, breeds, and dies - thus becoming an anomaly in our DNA that can’t be explained.

Just a weird premise.
Revisado: 03-26-19
I love a good scifi story, but I think this stretches credulity and reason beyond all recovery. The author seems to be quite intelligent and the editorial work is well done, but the basis of the story makes no sense and the resolution of the conflict is just dumb. It is difficult to write a review of this book without spoilers. It's an adult story (sex and graphic violence), but the premise of the story reminds me of a conversation with a toddler who is upset because he can't grow up to be a firetruck.
