Historia
As the Great War continues to take its toll, headstrong 21-year-old Emily Bryce is determined to contribute to the war effort. She is convinced by a cheeky and handsome Australian pilot that she can do more, and it is not long before she falls in love with him and accepts his proposal of marriage. When he is sent back to the front, Emily volunteers as a “land girl,” tending to the neglected grounds of a large Devonshire estate. It’s here that Emily discovers the long-forgotten journals of a medicine woman who devoted her life to her herbal garden.

Well written enjoyable read. Charming.
Revisado: 04-06-21
Well written and every word, sentence, and paragraph meaningful, as all flowed, and the transitions seamless—clarity throughout. You never had to re-read or look back as you moved from one descriptive environment to another. Every character served a purpose and mostly likable. I adored the main character, Emily. It was a refreshing change for me to like or respect female book characters without wanting to slap or shake them at least once. Emily likes and believes in herself, plays no games, and her consistent kind and forgiving nature admirable. Not a hint of wishy-washy. All the female characters are strong, likable, and supportive and take their sisterhood seriously.

if you haven't read, Why?
Revisado: 04-04-21
Another five stars read by this exceptional writer. I read 'Sorrow' twice to make sure I heard what deserved telling, and I listened to it once to make sure I didn't miss anything about this unpredictable, purposeful, and moving story. When you're close to the story's end, one you dread, until you close its cover, then there is an instant feeling of completion. Finn.

Historia
New York, 1960: For Benny Lament, music is his entire life. With his father’s deep ties to the mob, the Bronx piano man has learned that love and family can get you in trouble. So he keeps to himself, writing songs for other musicians, avoiding the spotlight…until the night his father brings him to see Esther Mine sing. Esther is a petite powerhouse with a gorgeous voice. And when Benny writes a hit song and performs it with her, their collaboration thrusts the duo onto the national stage…and stirs up old issues and new scrutiny that the mob--and Benny--would rather avoid.

A Treasure and Must Read
Revisado: 03-29-21
Amy Harmon writes with a purpose and found her spot in the world as an author. I've read everything she's ever written. Amy's telling of stories is consistent and conveyed in a way; you want to keep turning the pages. There is a life lesson in all that she writes and seasoned in a caring, no preaching way. The reader decides, and 'none of her books predictable. This particular story should be mandatory or offered on a high school or college literature/composition reading list. The Songbook is such a moving and eye-opening read.

The pain I felt as my childhood love rejected me, again and again, after promising me the world when we were kids... Well, it just wouldn’t go away. No matter how hard I tried. Desperate times called for desperate measures, and I never wanted to be considered desperate, but I knew if something didn’t change soon, I’d lose Elias for good and die of a broken heart. No one told me how many times my heart could break in the process.

I love elevatorfs
Revisado: 10-01-19
This novella well written. I loved the premise. The characters likeable and their interaction tender and kind. The steamy parts are well done. I get so sick of vulgar mindless sex scenes. This wasn't written like the usual " let's get it on" recipe script. This one's going to hang around in my head for a while.

I was 12 when I started crushing on him. I was 17 when I met him by chance, and our connection was made. Now here I am, 23, and I'm one of the two actresses in the video for his band's latest single. Jesse Kingston is a tall, dark, and gorgeous temptation I'm finding hard to resist. It ends up not being as simple as doing a job and going home. It can't be when he continually makes his presence known with his not-so-innocent touches and sexy words.

Historia
I won my first fight when I was 11 years old, and I've been throwing punches ever since. Fighting is the purest, truest, most elemental thing there is. Some people describe heaven as a sea of unending white, where choirs sing and loved ones await. But for me, heaven was something else. It sounded like the bell at the beginning of a round, and it tasted like adrenaline. For me, heaven was the octagon. Until I met Millie, and heaven became something different. I became something different.

Should Be Made Into Movie
Revisado: 03-30-19
I enjoyed every beautiful word. Amy is a writer. She takes you on an elegant adventure where you can see, hear, and smell every detail, You'll walk through Ireland's history, its past, and future evoking every one of your senses. This is a love story where romance is told the right way, leaving you alone with your imagination. We do not need to hear the ten toes up and ten toes down status quo tripe. It's very sexy without the filth. Amy's Characters are believable, relatable, and likable. There isn't any part of this book that you'll think "Oh come on, why would so and so...do that! If this book isn't made into a movie for every obvious reason, I'll be flabbergasted. This is a story worth telling from beginning to end. it's beautifully structured, the plot pleasingly unique, and Amy's writing style seamless. This isn't a book to tastes, its a book worthy of digesting.
