Perfectly Cozy
Revisado: 01-15-25
I started backwards by reading The Glass Library first and I was worried I may have spoiled the story for me, but I was wrong. Everything I loved about The Glass Library is also in this series and I can't wait to devour the other rest if both series!

Historia
Hours later, the man’s cold body lies in the city mortuary, alongside the woman he couldn’t save. And his sister, unconventional nurse Gemma Tate, tracks down troubled police inspector Sebastian Bell to unravel the truth. Sebastian has enough pressure to solve the murder of an aristocratic heiress without Gemma meddling in his case. But the cryptic sentences she brings him from her brother’s notebook could be a crucial lead. If only they knew what “milky way” meant.

Historia
When American Lexi Maxwell buys a derelict mansion in a quaint English village and sets about turning it into a manor-house hotel, it’s a dream come true. But events take a turn for the bizarre, as a heartbroken ghost makes a nightly appearance and kneels beneath a tree next to a centuries-old ruin, and people in the village keep commenting on Lexi’s resemblance to a woman who’s been dead for a quarter of a century. As Lexi tries to find out more about the man in the ruin, she unexpectedly stumbles upon secrets from her own past.

Good story, bad narrator
Revisado: 10-04-23
I have read and listened to many of Irina Sapiro's books but this is the first one I have listened to by this narrator and I was very disappointed. Her attempts at acents border on embarrassing and the inflections are misplaced. I almost didn't finish it but was interested enough in the story to keep going. Irecommend skipping this audio version and reading the physical book.

Terrible Narration
Revisado: 06-04-23
The story is compelling and well written, but the narration sounds like a poorly recorded 1960s voice-over. The narrator is wrong for the story and mangles the story's female voice.
I would have enjoyed the book much better had I read instead of listening to the audio version.
