What is a religion? Why are people religious? Are religious people more educated than nonreligious people? Are religious people more moral, more humble, or happier? Are religious people more or less prejudiced than nonreligious people? Is religion good for your health? Are people becoming more or less religious? Studying religion as a social phenomenon, Ryan T. Cragun follows the scientific data to provide answers to these and other questions.

Historia
In his classic Buddhism Without Beliefs, Stephen Batchelor offered a profound, secular approach to the teachings of the Buddha that struck an emotional chord with Western audiences. Now, with the same brilliance and boldness of thought, he paints a groundbreaking portrait of the historical Buddha—told from the author's unique perspective as a former Buddhist monk and modern seeker.

Interesting
Revisado: 07-10-23
It was well written, but the only issue I had with it was that it was too monotone. I hope you don’t take it offensively but normally I do listen to everyone out running. It really gave me the history of Buddha Buddhism. I am a secular, not agnostic but a secularlist.

I am not alone!
Revisado: 06-16-23
In listening to book, i didn’t feel so alone. I have cut my ties to my adoptive siblings but i am fortunate enough that I have a bio family. My bio family is more supportive way more adaptive. My adoptive parents have both passed away and same with my bio parents or o should say donors or community service providers where ever they went. I am so grateful fir this book and i will refer the book onto my clients. Thanks Dr. Campbell and Wendy Behary.

Historia
These days, no one in America feels immune to violence. But now, in this extraordinary, groundbreaking book, the nation's leading expert on predicting violent behavior unlocks the puzzle of human violence and shows that, like every creature on earth, we have within us the ability to predict the harm others might do us and get out of its way. Contrary to popular myth, human violence almost always has a discernible motive and is preceded by clear warning signs.

This book was recommended but I do not know which author. It was a powerful book. The word “fear” I hear about quite frequently from clients I work with. I will be recommending the book to them. I will go back and listen again but with the physical book. Great book!

Historia
Just as there are three dimensions of the physical world (height, width, and depth), there are three dimensions of the interpersonal world - power, love, and mindfulness. How well we learn to navigate them directly corresponds to how well we live our lives and how happy and fulfilled we feel. Human reactivity is the source of most of our interpersonal problems and pain.
