Historia
What forces molded the universe? Are those forces still at work, removing, changing, or adding heavenly bodies even as we gaze upward? Will humanity, and Earth itself, one day be gone? Are we alone? In an era when science journalism is perhaps more thorough and ambitious than ever before, fascinating explorations of questions like these seem available to us almost every day - provided we have a working understanding of the scientific theories on which they're based.

Loved the explanations
Revisado: 12-24-17
I loved how simply and clearly concepts were explained in the lectures. This series was very interesting and informative to me.
I hated how Professor Neil deGrasse Tyson let his voice trail off to practically a whisper at numerous key points. He varied from an excited loud voice to a calm quiet voice that was barely audible to my old ears. I listen as I drive. Road noise frequently drowned out the professors voice while at other times he was much too loud.
This is a 4 star story with a 2 star narration. Eliminate the too-soft voice and this is easily a 4 star narration.

More about sex than hiking
Revisado: 04-23-17
I was disappointed with this book. I thought I was getting a book about hiking the PCT, but discovered it was more about Carrot’s steamy thoughts. She is a good writer and the book has its moments. I just did not want to hear about her sexual escapades. I prefer AWOL on the Appalachian Trail, Skywalker: Highs and Lows on the Pacific Crest Trail, and Wild.

Can't stop talking about it
Revisado: 10-19-15
I listened to this book and then recommended it to my wife. She loved it even more than me.
This book may not be for you if you aren’t willing to consider an alternative to business as usual. If you have an open mind and are willing to consider all possibilities, then this may be the perfect book for you. Jason did a great job of explaining the benefits of the Vanabode way to travel. After a thorough comparison of different modes of travel, Jason went into the details of exactly how to travel in style the Vanabode way.
What I like most about the book isn’t even the book. It is the access you get to a guy that has lived what he has written about. I emailed Jason and within the hour he replied with an answer to my question and links to great content on the web that you won’t find without help. Days later I sent another email and again Jason was quick to respond.
Our spending habits are one of the primary reasons we must work so hard just to make ends meet. Listen to Jason, what he says can free you from years of drudgery. You will be able to see and do things you probably didn’t think possible.

Historia
Hungarian by birth, Nicolas Darvas trained as an economist at the University of Budapest. Reluctant to remain in Hungary until either the Nazis or the Soviets took over, he fled at the age of 23 with a forged exit visa and fifty pounds sterling to stave off hunger in Istanbul, Turkey. During his off hours as a dancer, he read some 200 books on the market and the great speculators, spending as much as eight hours a day studying.

Great story of Success
Revisado: 12-01-13
I really enjoyed listening to Nicolas's story. A bit of luck launched his investing career. Repeated failures almost ended it. Determination, self examination, and lots of hard work led to eventual success and a repeatable method to consistently make money in stocks.
As I listened to the story, I could see elements of Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefevre, Market Wizards by Jack Schwager, Rule #1 by Phil Town and How to Make Money in Stocks by William O’Neil. What Nicolas discovered was that to make money in stocks, he needed to 1) find the right company and put it on a watch list; 2) wait for the stock price to start moving up before buying in; 3) always protect the downside by placing a protective stop, 4) sell losers and keep winners; and 5) sell when the price stops going up.
Nicolas's “box” method is very close to the Turtle trading method. It can work spectacularly well, but it does require discipline. He made money as long as he remained disciplined. He lost money when he failed to be disciplined. Excellent story, great message, I highly recommend this listen.

Striking out on your own for the first time is exhilarating. But in a culture full of bad advice, predatory banks, and splurge-now-pay-later temptations, it can also be extremely dangerous - leading you to make financial decisions that could hurt you for years to come. Combine this with a slumped economy, mounds of student loans, and dubious examples from reality TV stars to politicians to your own parents, and it’s no wonder so many twenty-somethings are struggling.

Good advice from Dave Ramsey and Suze Orman
Revisado: 06-14-12
This is not a bad book if you like a lot of sarcasm dished out with your very basic advice on how to live your life. Essentially, Zac rehashes advice from Dave Ramsey and Suze Orman. It was Dave says this and Suze says that throughout the book. Why not just buy their books instead and get your advice straight from the horse’s mouth and not second hand.
