Historia
What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter? They keep the world running, the food cooked, and the horses shoed, yet what adventurer has ever spared a thought or concern for the Non-Player Characters? In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry.

Exceeded expectations
Revisado: 10-29-23
It sounded a bit gimmicky but seemed like an interesting premise. Had extra credits so I gave it a shot. I loved it! It’s engaging, avoids formulaic writing, and has a great plot. This was an unexpected gem and I’ll definitely be checking out the next book in the series.

Historia
Every Winter, the human population hibernates. Your name is Charlie Worthing, and it's your first season with the Winter Consuls, the committed but mildly unhinged group of misfits who are responsible for ensuring the hibernatory safe passage of the sleeping masses. You are investigating an outbreak of viral dreams which you dismiss as nonsense; nothing more than a quirky artifact borne of the sleeping mind. When the dreams start to kill people, it's unsettling. When you get the dreams, too, it's weird. When they start to come true, you begin to doubt your sanity.

What I imagine a hallucinogenic trip could be like
Revisado: 04-24-21
I’ve listened to this author’s books before but this one was in a league of its own. There were a number of times where I was passively listening only to say, “wait...what?!” There are some delightfully bizarre plot twists in this rollercoaster of a book and I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys stories that are completely original and aggressively odd. Very enjoyable.

In that time they befriend a troll who has clawed his way through the earth's crust to the surface. Unfortunately for the troll, he is being chased by a nefarious nobleman and an interrogating nun, who both need the magical creature for their own gain, as well as a fairy-in-training who has been assigned to protect him. The boys and their new troll best friend escape and go on the run.

Fun as usual
Revisado: 04-21-21
The Artemis Fowl books were a lot of fun and this series continues the tradition. The books are great when you don’t want to have to think much and just want to enjoy the ride. I’m way to old to be the core audience but I still found the book entertaining.
