I think this is a brilliant audiobook that teaches important life lessons like mindfulness and gratitude in a way that children can understand. There are 32 stories, and each of them is unique and good for a nightly bedtime routine. It may look like your typical children’s story collection, but it stands out with its focus on fostering confident kids. These stories are deeper and more meaningful than ordinary children’s tales, and yet still focus on storytelling. The narrator’s soothing and calming voice is perfect for this, ideal for bedtime. This audiobook offers a unique and valuable resource for parents and kids alike. Thank you, Beth Camby, for creating this fantastic audiobook that nurtures young minds.

“Forget those aged gender roles. Take care of the dishes, the laundry, carry in all the groceries, and scrub that toilet clean.”

“Support is not just physical, it is also emotional.”

I found Patrick Nguyen’s audiobook helpful. It did a great job explaining how a baby grows in the womb with a level of detail I didn’t know before. A few key points from this audiobook, although there are many, are to be open, patient, and help with chores. Taking care of yourself is a key point too. The chapter on “Finding Out Your Baby’s Health” stuck out to me with the health problems it mentioned. This audiobook is valuable for any first-time dad to help prepare for this incredible journey!

Grit equals: “Passion and perseverance for long-term goals.”

“Mentally tough people understand that not everyone will support their dreams. They refuse to let the opinions of others define their path.”

Full of wisdom for young athletes, the author, Chad Metcalf, packed this audiobook with invaluable insights that resonate. There are handful of observations that stuck out to me, including the emphasis on mastering the basics including lifting weights, a fundamental aspect of athletic success that’s often overlooked. The advice to embrace feedback from coaches with a positive mindset is a game-changer for personal growth. I loved the idea of “nerding out with your sport,” highlighting the importance of immersing in your chosen discipline. The story in “Chapter 4: Deliberate Practice” exemplifies how to apply the chapter’s principles. Chad Metcalf’s attention to detail in this guide is commendable, offering far more than I can mention here. I recommend this audiobook to young athletes looking to build resilience and excel in their athletic endeavors. It’s a must-listen!

“Not just about weathering the storm, but learning from it.”

“You’re not just leading teams, but humans.”

I wish more companies would look at its workers as humans.

I love that Sandra Abbey focuses on the need to brush off the dusty, old, traditional leadership and look at a worker as a human, not as a worker. Doing this is a good first start. The research and detail in this audiobook were very impressive. There’s great writing found here, and an engaging narrator. A small selection of significant takeaways which stood out: Include a more inclusive role of leadership instead of the top down approach (hierarchical), being a facilitator, and resilience. With resilience, meaning those who bend but do not break. Those who adapt. Chapter two on how to become a resilience leader really stuck out. Also, Chapter 6 for self care where there’s so much great practical advice in the chapter. A must read for any leader!

“Stop Overthinking And Get Your Act Together” is a game-changer for anyone who, like me, has grappled with overthinking their entire life. I felt like the author was speaking directly to me, and I appreciate the simple practical advice such as breathing exercises. The audiobook highlights include the negative effects of dwelling on the past and valuable insights into challenging negative thoughts. Also, writing goals on paper to see and track them and implementing effective time management strategies. The concept of embracing a growth mindset and celebrating mistakes struck a chord with me, offering a refreshing perspective on personal growth. I like how the the conclusion had bullet points of what to remember from the book. This audiobook goes much beyond my highlights and is full of wisdom. It’s a must-listen for anyone looking to tame their anxious mind. I appreciate all of it!

This is such a great audiobook for rides in the car and keeps kids engaged. The music made this much more charming and kept it entertaining. I felt like the author, Adaline Sparks, understood how to make this fun, such as adding “that’s quacktastic,” or other dialogue to keep it charming. Also, the unique encouragements or discourse after most of the answers, I felt like she understands children, and breaks up each question-and-answer nicely. One example: “You’ve got the corner on this one, my friend.”

“How can you form genuine authentic connects with others if you are too afraid to let go of your mask, if you are too afraid to let people into your authentic world?”

“19 Masks People Wear” is thought-provoking and offers a fresh perspective on the masks we all wear in our daily lives. I’ve never really thought about it in the way the author is portraying. From my perspective, from what I listened to, I don’t see these masks as inherently negative, rather as a survival strategy in society. At the very least, there was kindness from the author when speaking about the masks we wear. Other parts of the audiobook that stuck out are we might use an extrovert mask at work, even when we are an introvert. Maybe we wear a mask to explore a deeper part of ourselves that we may have hidden because of social fears. Or perhaps we wear a mask to conceal our emotional barriers after experiencing rejection.

The 19 masks we frequently wear, such as the pleaser and perfectionist masks, and the upsides and downsides of each mask, were enlightening. The chapters I enjoyed the most were “Seeing Beyond the Masks” and “Building Genuine Connections,” as it gives solutions to the masks we wear. I recommend it!

A practical and concise audiobook, making it a fantastic resource for those new to gardening. I loved the introduction for including walking barefoot or using bare hands outside. Being barefoot is the best! The author clearly loves gardening and gives thoughtful advice. It also seems she is an expert on the topic and it really shows. She recommends sharpening tools for safety and spraying around the raised bed garden to avoid chemicals on the food - a great reason to have a raised bed garden instead of a garden level on the ground. There’s so much information here that I only scratch the surface. Highly recommended for beginner gardeners. Oh, and the puns are puntastic!

"Stepping Into The Shadows" is a fascinating dive into the world of shadow work. As someone with limited knowledge in this area, I found this audiobook to be an excellent starting point. It breaks down difficult ideas into manageable parts for an easy introduction to the topic. The audiobook's exploration of creating a spiritual homebase and using safe spaces for healing resonated deeply, offering practical tools for beginning the shadow work process. The discussion on the healing power of colors and the symbolism behind them added a unique and insightful dimension to the practice. Moreover, the unconventional approach to journaling was a revelation for me, demonstrating that self-expression doesn't need to follow a rigid structure. This audiobook is a great resource for those interested in shadow healing. I really enjoyed the narration as well! I appreciate the insightful ideas it offers!

The sound is smooth and relaxing. I used this for a quick nap and it helped make the world disappear. I'd recommend this audiobook of brown noise for those looking to relax. It's a great way to help the sounds around you disappear.
