Historia
Meet Michael Blutrich, mild-mannered New York lawyer and founder of Scores, the hottest strip club in New York City history, funded by the proceeds of an insurance embezzlement scheme. All Blutrich wanted was to lay low, make the club a success, and put his criminal acts behind him. But the Mafia got involved, and soon the FBI came knocking. Scores became wildly popular, in part thanks to Blutrich's ability to successfully bend the rules of adult entertainment. Unfortunately for Blutrich, it would all soon implode.

I was on the edge of my seat while listening through every chapter. This storey is unfathomable and you are so glad it's not happening to you. While the author would claim he had no choice but to live through this, I think he was and is the bravest person I've read about.

A nightmare come true.
Revisado: 07-17-16
Most of us have known "friends" who can be vindictive. Say half-truths about us behind our backs, or downright lies. But to use this vice through the manipulation of your own children against an innocent person who used to claim you as a friend is demonic. Then add our servants of the judicial system who seem to forget their role in finding truth and justice progress a case of falsehoods through the system destroying innocence of children and adults alike is an unbelievable travesty in our time. Where are the consciences of these people?
This book will change the way you think of our judicial system. Beware of the narcissistic prosecutors, judges and law enforcement. We need to read as many true accounts of cases like this one and warn our family members not to take this system at its word.
The ending is as surprising as the story itself. I couldn't stop listening until finished. 2 days is all it took for me.

Beautifully written! Beautifully Read!!
Revisado: 01-02-13
Would you listen to The Underneath again? Why?
I read this book and found it to be written in a beautiful cadence so I decided to buy the audiobook and was moved to tears by the narrator's reading. I will listen to this book again and again and have recommended it to my friends - all adults.
What other book might you compare The Underneath to and why?
I would compare this book to "A Dog's Purpose" and "War Horse" since these stories were written from the animals perception as well very descriptive.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
I would love to see this book made into a film. If you liked Charlotte's Web, you'll cry for The Underneath.

Kept me on the edge of my seat!
Revisado: 11-29-12
If you could sum up Life of Pi in three words, what would they be?
Thrilling, nail biting, insightful
What was one of the most memorable moments of Life of Pi?
When the hyena was eating the zebra while alive. So horrific but believable . . broke my heart with the death of the animals.
Have you listened to any of Jeff Woodman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but I was trasfixed with his voice, inflections of emotion and best of all, I enjoyed his Indian accent because it placed my imagination where it belonged AND I could understand him completely.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES!
Any additional comments?
I will listen to this book again in the future.
