Historia
Kamii: My marriage ended tragically. Since then, the only excitement in my lonely, pathetic, workaholic life has been reading romance novels. However, I now have the chance to be whoever I want to be, where no one knows my past, and will never be my future. Preston: I like to bury my pain somewhere I can be anonymous, and still be faithful to my deceased wife's memory. There, I can give and receive pleasure, without any guilt or attachment. When their worlds collide, their anonymity offers protection from painful pasts, cunning schemes, and dangerous lies.

I listened to the audiobook which was very well narrated and very sexy.
The story of Preston and Kamii was steamy and sexy beyond words. The romance between them real and heartfelt. Both are suffering broken hearts after losing their respective loved ones. Kamii copes by working tirelessly at her job as a lawyer and escaping into her love of books. Preston runs his own construction company and is also the owner of a private sex club.
When they meet at his sex club neither of them is looking for any type of relationship. The Sex Club is a means for sexual relief and kink and the best part is nobody knows who anyone is because the club requires fake names and masks.
When Kamii and Preston share an evening of sexy kink the chemistry between them awakens desires they did not expect to feel and want more of and boundaries are crossed.
I enjoyed the added suspense of the murder mystery and the twist that I did not see coming. This was an excellent, well written book.
Erotic book lovers will want to read this highly charged sensual read.

This was a beautifully written story of finding love when you least expect it and with the last person you would expect it to be with.
Henry is a quiet and reserved history professor who is passionate about his teaching and when he lays eyes on the effervescent and gorgeous high school student Ruben, he feels drawn to him inexplicably. Ruben on the other hand begins the semester surrounded by gorgeous women and having the time of his life. As the year progresses 18-year-old Ruben begins to feel things for Henry that he never thought possible. Added to this is the big age gap of 14 years. When the year is over Ruben and Henry spend an unforgettable weekend together and then part ways as Ruben want to be carefree and have no commitments when he goes to college.
As time passes, Henry’s career takes off but he is unable to forget Ruben and the strong feelings he has for him. Ruben on the other hand is enjoying life, “sowing his wild oats” but that is short lived when he realizes what he had with Henry was nothing like he had ever experienced before and his longing to have that again runs deep.
Finding each other again was a breathtaking and unique journey. I loved this book and will reminisce about it for a long time.

I adored everything about this small-town romance, Naomi and Knox were so perfect for each other even though Knox took his sweet time realising this. He guarded his scared heart so much that it became impenetrable until the likes of sassy Naomi and the adorable Waylay melted it.
There were some funny laugh out moments with Knox’s inner thoughts and he was everything that Naomi and Waylay deserved. The characters were so real and relatable that you cannot help fall in love with them.
This was a very enjoyable book that keep me up late into the night. The bonus epilogue was the perfect way to end their story.
This was my first book by Lucy Score and I cannot wait to read what she brings us next as she is a very talented and brilliant storyteller.
I listened to the audio version, and it was very well narrated especially Knox’s character, narrated by Sebastian York, he was spot on with capturing the gruff and grumpy character of Knox.

Historia
From the moment I first saw Caleb, I knew he belonged to me. And I knew I’d have to save him—because how else does the girl nobody wants win over the boy beloved by all? Nothing about his life or mine has gone to plan. He’s isolated and miserable. I’ve got a vindictive ex, two young kids, and more problems than I can count. But what hasn’t changed is this: It still feels like he’s mine. And it sure looks like he’s in need of saving.

5* Second Chances
Revisado: 10-22-23
I am loving the Summer series and getting lost in these second chance romances. Lucie and Caleb’s story did not disappoint.
When soon to be divorcee mom Lucie returns to the home she spent many summers at with her adorable twins, she did not anticipate bumping into her childhood crush Caleb who happens to be her neighbor as well as her new boss. Old feelings are reignited, but life is messy for both and navigating the road ahead will not be easy.
I enjoyed the realness of them having to overcome their struggles and take chances on each other to move ahead.
Their story had the perfect balance of angst and steam.
I cannot wait to read Beck and Kates story.
Samantha Brentmoor, who is one of my favourite narrators, and Robert Hatchet did tremendous job giving Caleb and Lucie their voices. The duet style narration made the story flow well and I did not want it to end.
