Historia
Celie has grown up poor in rural Georgia, despised by society and abused by her own family. She strives to protect her sister, Nettie, from a similar fate, and while Nettie escapes to a new life as a missionary in Africa, Celie is left behind without her best friend and confidante, married off to an older suitor, and sentenced to a life alone with a harsh and brutal husband. In an attempt to transcend a life that often seems too much to bear, Celie begins writing letters to God. The letters, spanning 20 years, record a journey of self-discovery and empowerment guided by the light of a few strong women.

Historia
A masterful, moving novel about age, memory, and family from one of the literary icons of our time. Ptolemy Grey is 91 years old and has been all but forgotten - by his family, his friends, even himself - as he sinks into a lonely dementia. His grand-nephew, Ptolemy's only connection to the outside world, was recently killed in a drive-by shooting, and Ptolemy is too suspicious of anyone else to allow them into his life. Until he meets Robyn, his niece's 17-year-old lodger and the only one willing to take care of an old man at his grandnephew's funeral.

I found the book easy to follow. I liked the referral to the sections of the worksheet. I especially appreciated the last three chapters. This is an audio book to listen to multiple times and apply the marketing plan. The information explains what, why, and how.

Awesome!
Revisado: 09-13-21
I watched the movie on Netflix and had to hear the book version on Audible. I needed clarity to the movie. I received the clarity I was seeking. My jaw dropped as I listen to the final details. Thank you so much. I recommend this audiobook to those who like stories without lusty sex details. This was terrific and a great use of my time.

Historia
In this powerful audiobook, pastor, professor, and leading cultural apologist Voddie Baucham explains the sinister worldview behind the social justice movement and how it has quietly spread like a fault system, not only through our culture, but throughout the evangelical church in America. He also details the devastation it is already wreaking - and what we can do to get back on solid ground before it’s too late.

Transformational Blame
Revisado: 09-10-21
Baucham defines the fault lines concept several times as he defends he position on CRT. A few points are questionable; sounding personal in nature. The idea of staining the church with world-views correctly explains my personal experiences. Honest, radical, and thought provoking … I recommend this book to anyone interested in a cautionary message using their critical thinking.

Beautiful to Read & Listen
Revisado: 08-18-21
I like the narrated voice for the novel. The allegories and explanations were helpful. The writing style captured and maintained my attention. I shared this title with many family and friends to experience the same insights and delight of our pilgrimage on this earth. I especially liked the various sound-effects and voices used to place the reader or listener into the pages. I recommend this selection to everyone desiring a good read and a great explanation of this Christian walk.

Historia
Drawing on their own cross cultural experience in global mission, O'Brien and Richards show how better self-awareness and understanding of cultural differences in language, time, and social mores allow us to see the Bible in fresh and unexpected ways. Getting beyond our own cultural assumptions is increasingly important for being Christians in our interconnected and globalized world. Learn to read Scripture as a member of the global body of Christ.

Enlightening
Revisado: 02-18-21
I liked the specifics of not only what misinterpretations occur but also the actual meanings of specific verses. Other books on this subject do not compare to the information explained in this book. I will definitely listen to it again. The information is more intriguing as the chapters progress. I will continue to research and study the Scriptures yet allow the verses to speak to me more in its own terms.
