Historia
I Kissed an Earl is another installment in rapidly rising star Julie Anne Long's sensual and emotionally charged Pennyroyal Green series, centered around the longstanding feud of the wealthy Eversea and Redmond families of Pennyroyal Green, Sussex. I Kissed an Earl absolutely brims with romance, adventure, and, of course, intense passion, as a beautiful, willful Regency lady searching for her lost brother stows away on a sailing ship - and ends up enchanting the vessel's highborn, hard-headed Captain.

Betrayal and Love
Revisado: 05-04-25
I do like this book because it is not the typical regency romance. It illustrates what will be done in the name of love and explores the complexities between love and betrayal. I recommend the book.

I appreciated how they both have invisible hurts that are somehow soothed by the presence of each other. I most especially loved the how the previous characters of Feagans’ lads and their offspring are a large extended family of Viscount Langdon. I have loved this series and look forward to additional books.

Even at 15, Jeanne, the privileged daughter of a royalist EmigrE, knew what she liked: Englishman Robert Blake, bastard son of a marquess. Yet his questionable birth rendered him forbidden. Forced to part, they were still young enough to believe in tomorrow. But as time passed, that brief ephemeral flirtation at Haddington Hall faded into memory.

The historical details behind the fictional story
Revisado: 01-23-25
I felt that the story could have been shorter. The characters were a little hard to like , but I appreciated the historical references.

So glad this story centered around 2 other characters besides McKenna and Aline because their stubbornness was killing me. I enjoyed Olivia and Gideons’ story better. Overall good precursor to the Wallflower series.

Lover of True ❤️
Revisado: 09-16-24
There is truly nothing not to like about this story. It has all components intrigue fantasy, romance and a reminder that we cannot judge anyone on just the outer character. Narrative performance was top knotch as always from Justine Eyre. Highly recommended. Can’t wait for next in the series.

Clean romance and murder mystery
Revisado: 08-09-24
I loved the story because it was blend of mystery and romance without blatant sexual scenes. Justine Eyre did a wonderful job narrating, she is one of my favorites. The only problem I have with the story is how the murderer was able to be ahead of Scotland Yard at every moment.

Intrigue and Romance
Revisado: 07-05-24
The seamless integration of the previous book that introduced Jane’s character and this one . That leads me to wonder if there will be be another in this series with the introduction of a new character Will Gilford, just a thought. I enjoy the unveiling of the mystery of why Jane’s father died. And of course the interwoven romance between her and Lord Adrian. Mary Jane Wells’ narration was and is always excellent.

Historical plot intertwining
Revisado: 04-17-24
This is my second read and I found it to better the second time. I found that I like the that the prince has ancient ties to a famous Russian czar, which provides a certain mystical quality to his background. The story well narrated by Rosalyn Landor who always does and excellent job. I highly recommend it.🙌🏾🙌🏾

Historia
Nina Finch isn't suited for a life of crime. Raised by her art-forger brother, she can paint like Botticelli. But she'd so much rather be baking gooseberry tarts. She finally has the money she needs to open her own bakery. Unfortunately, her brother's carelessness lands her—and their forgeries—directly under the nose of London's most discerning art critic, Alan De'Ath. De'Ath knows the paintings are fake.

Multi-layered characters
Revisado: 03-01-24
I didn’t have problems following the course of events with the previous novels as I did in the first hour of this one. It is the only book I had to order on kindle as well. After this purchase I could follow the story a little better and found Nina and De’ath more engaging. It also helped to be re/ introduced to Lavinia and Neal Tremayne from the Runaway Duchess. Outside of that this was a good story. Top knotch performance from Mary Jane Wells.
