I have all of Jocko Davis books, but this one is my favorite because it distills the most critical elements of success into daily habits, that require self-discipline to maintain. Self-discipline in my daily habits has always been a struggle for me. I like the authors style because you get top quality information in a succinct and powerful way.

Such a practical and down to earth listen

This short book captures the essence of what is required for anyone to excel in life. It describes what separates winners from losers. I wish there was a version for kids. After spending much of the past year pouring into myself and really trying to make changes in my life, I felt the need to seek more help outside of myself. I love the practical aspect of this book, and I'm excited to implement habits that will lead to actions that continue to lead me in the right direction.

I have been searching for ways to develop will-power and this was one of the better books Ive read on the topic. I decided to study this book because procrastination is my obvious disadvantage. Practical recommendations for achieving self-discipline have become useful to me. These tips help you overcome procrastination through everyday, recurring, rewarding actions. Initially, it looks like a routine, but after a few weeks, these actions become habit and do not present much difficulty.

I was disappointed to find so few recipes that sounded good to me. My husband was more successful, but even he did not find more than a handful. what you actually have here are the techniques and ingredients used that you can craft your own special burger should you dare. Fruit, Green Chiles, Salmon, Poultry, Beef, Pork, cheeses, crackers, brioche rolls, regular buns, open-faced, Patty Melt, etc., all show how to approach this.

Quite often with this type of book the author becomes bogged down with terminology or over-complicating the matter at hand. I am pleased to say that it wasn't the case at all with this book. I found the step by step guide to planning my week that the author took me through informative & easy to understand and will surely be making my own plan immediately. Once done, I've been taken through 'How to be more productive' & 'How to stay motivated', the latter being the more important to me for sure.
