New narrator upsetting at first, and I could have gotten past it, BUT...

Its been enough time between books that while the new narrator was noticed, and while it took a few chapters to get used to, I was ok with it, but the fluctuation between soft and loud was not great. I listen to the book while I breastfeed sometimes and while I'm trying to get my son to nap. it's usually soothing for him, but when I have to keep raising and lowering the volume it's a bit of a hassle. With other books I can keep it at a consistent volume. Also I'm just having a hard time keeping up. I feel like I've had to listen to the same chapter 5 times for it to stick. Maybe I'm the only one?

Delightfully Fun Read

It has been a long time since I've read a true mystery book, one where I couldn't guess the ending. The characters were great. I love that this was an action murder mystery instead of the usual thriller scary type. And I also love that it wasn't riddled with cussing or anything explicit. It was very refreshing. I can't wait for the next book, and I will probably go on to read some more books from Mr. Osman. Thank you!

This book was well written, lots of great imagery. And big fan of all the Missouri places!!! >castor river shut ins< So kudos to the author on mentioning that little hole in the wall gem. I also immensely enjoyed the narrator.

I love a good murder mystery, and I love podcasts, so listen for the lie was an obvious choice to listen to. Did not disappoint! Kept me guessing til the end, and the narration and audio was perfect! Do yourself a favor and buy this one now!

I've always loved the hunger game books, read them when I was younger and didn't realize this one was out, or maybe I did and forgot. Anyways I figured I would listen to it since the movie is coming out soon. At first I liked Snow in this story, almost sympathized with him and was rooting for him and Lucy Gray. But man..the last few chapters. Cold cold person.

I love thrillers, mysteries, and murder books, especially when they can keep me wondering until the end who done it. This one did just that. It was kind of a long buildup, and felt the end was slightly rushed. But I did enjoy the epilogue. Tied it up nicely to let the listener imagine what would have happened next.
