Full of Universal Truths

A beautiful book that, in some ways, is a story about becoming, growing up and loss. There is alcoholism and suicide.
A lot of sadness. I just lost my husband 9 months ago, so I may be seeing through different lenses.
I loved this book.
It seemed real. It seemed like life.

Everybody knows that New Orleans is below sea level, and that's why the graves are above ground.
Why is it then, that people who decide to use New Orleans as the locale for a novel, when obviously, they have never BEEN there?
Part One, Chapter 1 mentions the screaming emanating from the basement.
Again, I repeat...
No, just no.
I'm really disappointed that I used an actual credit for this "book".

I have never reviewed an audio book before...that I remember anyway. This book, with Zachary Quinto narrating, is the perfect storm of audio books.
I really believe that if anyone else had've read it, or if I had've just READ it, you know, the old fashioned way, eye to paper? I don't think I would have or could have enjoyed as much.
Zachary Quinto made this book for me.
Awesome job, Zach!
Now I am not saying that it was a bad book, not at all. It was just something I probably wouldn't have finished....
