The narrators have nice voices. I enjoy the ‘’mine for 30 days’ thing. This wasn’t my favorite version of it - it fell flat and dry times. The FC is supposed to be 30 but came off much younger at times.

I do appreciate that she is not 20 or 21 because way too many books fixate on that age. Thanks for writing a character in her 30s!

Damien wasn’t likable and yeah, I just didn’t buy their chemistry. Ends on a cliffhanger, not sure if i’ll continue with the other books.

A quick and at times sweet listen. There are some real life situations involved, like mental health and a parent with Alzheimers…so it’s not super fluffy. Boring at times but not terrible. Pretty mild in content otherwise, not a spicy book (if you are looking for that)

The MC’s have strong chemistry (it didn’t feel forced or rushed). I also appreciate the MC not being an asshole or worse, he’s a decent guy and I feel like thats less common in forced marriage/mafia genre. I was intrigued by support characters as well.

I like the narrators, I think they did a good job. Accents could have been better, but it didn’t knock points off the story for me. The story kept me engaged and I will read/listen to more from this author. They now have a new fan! I also appreciate the shorter length, making it an easy listen.

There were some minor annoyances. I just don’t understand why a naive virgin female character is so often praised and used. That aside, I liked her. I just rolled my eyes a little at the virgin mentions and naive momenta.

That aside, still a big fan! I’m glad I found this book. Off to the next one!

Didn’t love it. Didn’t hate it. The male narrator though, his voice was a treat. Not sure if i’ll continue with the series, since it didn’t grip me…but it’s an okay listen, with an interesting storyline.

Raine was so annoying, I almost stopped the book because of her. I guess she’s in her mid 20s but acts like a 13 year old.

Hammer sucks, for many reasons. I dislike them both. But, I liked some of the story. Give me more Liam please! He deserves better all around!

I’m tempted to try book two but man, Hammer and Raine are annoying. We’ll see…if I do, it’s just for Liam and i’ll skip Raine and Hammers parts.

What I liked: the exercises, some of the advice, a helpful guide with good tips!

What I disliked: how annoying Susie and her way of speaking can be.

There are really good exercises in here, but my god getting through her constant forced laughter and dramatics made we almost quit the book like 10 times.

In the end, I’m glad I finished it, just wont listen to anything she narrates in the future…I rather read.

If she calmed down the dramatics then this book would have been a 5 for me. Or if someone else narrated instead.

Overall, it is a helpful guide.

As a big vampire lore and fic fan, it was cool to listen to some old lesser known ones without all the stuff that can get annoying with modern stories. I have no issues with the narration, i just knocked off a star bc only some of the stories held my attention, others were hard to stick with.

Wanted a fast listen, plus the cover is hot (that drew me in) but wow. I stopped halfway through and couldn’t finish. Which says alot because it so short.

So many issues but most annoying are:

Zoey (rolled my eyes and sighed at her so many times ….and of course she’s gotta be an untouched virgin too 🙄) also why is so she dumb and childlike????

I like Alexander’s voice, it’s attractive (male narrator) but he’s awful at female voices.

Drake is eh, no strong feelings about him either way.

What I liked:
1. the storyline was interesting
2. I liked Sean Crisden’s voice EXCEPT when he was reading as Noelle…
3. Morae Brehon’s normal voice was actually pleasant but…when NOT she was doing accents

What I didn’t like:
1. The accents
2. Seans voice as Noelle (straight up painful to listen to at times, I wanted to fast forward)
3. Morae is not good at accents, so hard to listen to
4. Jacks attitude and judgmental reactions, dude needed to calm the f down (speaking about the beginning of the book) …it made him really unlikeable …he was definitely problematic
5. The use of pop culture-esque and other tag likes like “put a ring on it” and “a bye Felicia moment” how a voice “sounded like Alicia keys” and a persons body being compared to “Nikki Minaj” it was cheesy as hell
6. The black references were toooo much, book could have been fine without all that
7. Morae’s ‘black’ voices
8. Book was confusing at times
9. Hearing about Jacks erection constantly
10. I could have did without the racial slurs, a book about an interracial relationship can exist without that (yes it wasn’t used alot but the little bit was enough)

What may have improved this:,
1. Doing better accents , if the overacting was fixed
2. Sean doing a better job at doing Noelle’s voice (and making her not sound like an annoying whiney high schooler)
3. If it was shorter, way longer than it needed to be

Overall, it was mildly enjoyable, tho I almost stopped so many damn times…I’m curious about the rest of the series, so I’ll give the next book a try…

Jack was a possessive, raging stalker and judgmental as fuck…it’s hard to like him…I’m not a fan.

Maybe I’ll like another couple and brother in this series more.

I wanted a short entertaining read, under 8 hours and finished this in one day. I did increase the speed though.

I do like the general themes and vibes in this series, so I’ll keep going with it. Still unsure what I think of Nolan or Becca, even by the end. But hey, it was an easy listen. Off to the next book…
